VOV SPOTLIGHT | MEET FREYA

Meet Freya @freyainacrown Ms Central Scotland Galaxy 2026/27 @ukgalaxypageants

As part of Voice of the Vulnerable, I’m using my platform to celebrate incredible women and amplify the voices, experiences and lessons they have to share. 🤍

I asked Freya:

“What’s something you wish other women knew?”

Here’s what she said:

“Not winning the first time might actually be the best thing that could happen to you. If I had won Galaxy on my first attempt, or even my second or third, I absolutely would not be the person I am today with the experiences and friends that I have in my life.

I don’t like the term “everything happens for a reason” but I do believe that there are far more positives than negatives that come out of a seemingly disappointing situation.

Had I won the Galaxy crown when I thought I was ready for it 10 years ago, I firstly probably wouldn’t still be competing. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to represent Scotland on Mexico and I wouldn’t have been a bridesmaid in my best friends’ wedding.

There are so many knock on effects that come from your “failures” that can actually turn out to be some of the most valuable things in life so the next time something doesn’t go the way you had hoped, look back on it in a years time and write down as many positives as you can think of that stemmed from it not going your way.

Winning doesn’t always come from achieving the goal.”

And that is exactly what VOV Spotlight is about real women, real stories and real impact.

Sometimes what feels like a setback is simply taking you somewhere you never knew you needed to go. 🤍 @internationalmspageant @internationalmsuk @stillsheroseorg

What better way to celebrate two more @pageantgirluk crowns coming home to Scotland than to gather Holly and her Scottish contingent for a group photo taken by our very own Scottish legend @brianhayesphotography1

Huge congratulations to @missteengreatbritain2026 and @litttlemissteengreatbritain26 - so proud of you both and I can't wait to follow your years.

Pageantry is slowly but surely making waves north of the border again and I could not be more excited!!!

Well October has been a BUSY one! I always find October to be the turning point in the road to Galaxy, it's when the months start to disappear and everything starts to feel very real. I'm so happy to have packed this October with some amazing memories thanks to these appearances and can't wait to see what the next four and a half months bring ✨ by @freyainacrown
