Always a pleasure to come down to this event. In classic roadtrip style, boards piled to the roof, stopping at all the iconic East coast breaks, bakeries, tunes blasting, sun shining, roast of the day at the local club, @tezamckenna ‘s cover band, epic sun rises, catching up with old friends … it was truly epic living 🥰🫠 And to win along side young legend @dane_henry06 … Wow! 🤝 Thanks everyone who travelled far to make it an epic contest for us all 🙏❤️

Finally, a deep dive into Womens Professional Surfing with Pro Surfer, QS Warrior, Changas Vet and Integrative Pharmacist Freya Prumm.

Freya's a Tube Wrangler, Aerialist and Super Human and alongside @andrew.namu.barrelled we are bringing you a monthly wrap on the "Finer Side" of Pro surfing.

It was epic to get the chance to compete in Europe again! 🇪🇸🇵🇹Thank you @wsl for introducing the International @wsl.qs events this season. I loved seeing people from all different countries that I would compete against from pre-covid times 🥰

Although I was unsuccessful in competition, it was special to return to Pantìn, a small beach in a tiny village in the NW of Spain 🇪🇸 Pic #5 is my first year competing on the WQS in 2010 (exposing my age here 😅), I hold the warmest memories 🥰 My father and I explored this coast in a red Peugeot shitbox we bought for 200 euro. The result from that event (9th) was my best result for along time.

It was so much fun to share this place with the young superstars of Australian surfing 🙏 Thanks for having me team @ollierysso @edenhasso @nat.fensomm And massive thanks to David from @alawasurfcamp for the next level accom!

SURF APNEA IS COMING TO PAMBULA.

For the first time, Apnea Survival is heading to the South Coast of NSW.

Saturday 24th October 2026

This is part of our wider commitment to take practical breath control and performance under pressure training beyond the major centres and into more regional and remote communities across Australia.

Surf Apnea is not simply about holding your breath for longer.

It is about learning how to stay calm, think clearly and remain functional when breathing becomes difficult, pressure rises and the body starts demanding a response.

Using the surfing hold down as a real world training tool, we work on:

• Understanding the urge to breathe
• Managing fear, stress and rising panic
• Improving recovery between intense efforts
• Working with the human dive response
• Reducing unnecessary tension and energy use
• Making better decisions when things get uncomfortable

And while the course was born from surfing, the lessons transfer far beyond the ocean. Surfers. Lifesavers. Freedivers. Any athlete. Adventurers. Everyday people. If you want to become calmer, more capable and better prepared under pressure, this training is for you.
