I haven’t really been posting or taking photos of Freya and Maya this year, life moved faster than I expected — but every now and then, I catch these rare little moments where their smiles say everything. The way they look at the camera, the softness in their expressions, so familiar yet always comforting.

They’ve grown so much together this year. Definitely not in size (Teeenyy tinyyy treats are here to STAY!), but in spirit. Maya, especially, simply cannot live without Freya — always close, always following, always finding comfort in her presence. AND Freya has been reciprocating by having long plays with Maya that made her lose weight. It’s a quiet bond, natural and steady, one that doesn’t need explaining.

As we edge toward 2026, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little anxious.... Kidding, really anxious. Change always carries that weight. But I’m choosing to keep an open mind, to move forward gently, and to trust the pace of things — much like how these two have grown, side by side. How about u?

Monday blues? Nah, swipe ‘em away with Maya’s cheeky face 🐾💙

And hello to my food powered door bell! 😁 We got a really sensitive model... It even "rings" for our neighbors 😂😂

I’ve been really proud of how this little one has been on our solo trips lately (probably because she doesn’t have her imaginary “backup” Freya around 🤭and Freya doesn't really care 😂😂). She listens so well and has been quite the lap dog - easy to bring out… well, other than the whole portability issue 😂. She’s growing into such an adorable little character. Freya will always be no.1 in my heart, but Maya… she’s definitely working her way up in our hearts! by @freyastormbreaker

Sometimes I forget that little Maya doesn’t always get the same undivided love like her sister Freya 🤎. So the weekend was about slowing down, spending some one-on-one time with her — and honestly, I’m so proud of how much bolder she’s becoming these days without Freya by her side. I rarely carry my camera around these days, and hence these made it extra special.

It’s always a joy when you’ve got friends to share these café afternoons with — the kind of conversations that make the hours slip by... And u realized that .. time pass so fast...

I’m just glad that I have an @islaandfern set for Maya on days like this. There’s something about dressing her in something elegant yet effortless — like the quiet lift you get when your outfit feels just right, don't you think? The way she matches feels like an extension of me, a little reflection of our bond, making the day all the more special. ✨ 🤎🤎

Happy Birthday our sweet little Maya! 🎂🐾

When we first brought you home, we thought we were getting another baby Freya… but you turned out to be so much more. From day one, you showed us a whirlwind of personalities—playful, cheeky, affectionate, and sometimes a little dramatic with your princess tummy (yes, we know you still don’t chew your food properly 😅).

It’s been such a joy watching you grow up each day—so beautifully, so full of character, and yet well-behaved whenever we take you outside, learning to be a polite dog. You’ve become the perfect companion to Freya, balancing out her calm and demure nature with your spark and spunk.

You are truly our heart little Maya! Thank you for filling our days with laughter, love, cutness and your endless little quirks. 💕

🇸🇬 Happy National Day! Hope these made you smile ❤️
It’s been a while since I last picked up my camera, but it felt like the perfect reason yesterday. The girls were all dolled up for the celebrations, and I just couldn’t resist capturing these moments — no elaborate set-ups, just genuine joy and cuteness.

🎆 How was your national day celebration?

I’ve always loved National Day, maybe because of the songs. (Yes, a whole week before, my playlist becomes 100% national tunes.) My Sarawakian husband is always amused by how Singapore manages to spark such a deep sense of patriotism through music alone. 🎶

This year, though, feels different. It’s the first family gathering I’ve attended since my grandma passed — the same gathering we shared last year, which turned out to be my last with her. I can still remember singing 爱情恰恰 together, her voice soft but determined, using the last bit of her energy.

It’s been a year, and yet it feels like yesterday and it takes a lot of courage to reminisce such moments at times. Life has a way of reminding us to hold on tight to moments like these — the laughter, the songs, the togetherness. To be grateful for the memories we can revisit in our hearts, long after the moment has passed. ❤️ taken in Singapore by @freyastormbreaker

I’ve only been apart from Freya and Maya for a few days, and already I feel a gentle ache where their paws should be at my feet. Every chat about their antics lights me up from the inside, and the moment a photo or video pops into chat, I can’t help but grin—and sometimes tear up—at how much they mean to me.

From the echo of their paws on the floor to the snuggles we have, every sight and sound around reminds me that these two fur kids aren’t just pets—they’re beloved family. Our bond has woven itself into the very fabric of our days, and life simply wouldn’t sparkle the same without their unconditional love. 🐾❤️ Give them a hug!

Who needs more of these moments? 🙋‍♀️ YES to these beautiful smiles and faces.

Some things never get old—like laughter spilling over coffee tables and the friends who’ve been there since day one. I never thought I’d be a dog person—I used to be terrified of dogs (!!) until Roe Roe, the sweet sweet sheltie we first dogsat, quietly stole and warm the cockles of my heart that led us to getting Freya 6 years ago!! Woh....

I’m grateful that I picked up basic photography to freeze these stolen glances and genuine laughs—because when so much of life feels curated and skin-deep around us, it’s the unguarded smiles, the shared glances, and the friends (and pups) who look beyond the glossy surface that become the rarest treasures worth pausing for...

🥹 What’s one thing you miss most when you head back to work after a break?

Heading back to work after a short sabbatical—and I already miss these two more than I expected. The past few months at home with them have been a much-needed pause, though I’m not entirely sure I truly rested (classic workaholic confession). Still, I cherished every moment—slow mornings, midday snuggles, spontaneous playtime, and simply soaking in their energy.

Now it’s time to get back into the groove and hustle again—but part of my heart is definitely staying on that couch with them. Here’s to finding a better balance this time around.

Through every season, every fleeting moment, they have each other—two little souls walking this journey side by side.

Freya, my ever-loyal shadow, demure yet determined, whining for attention yet fiercely independent. And Maya, my fluffy ball of sunshine, clueless and carefree, grinning at the world with boundless joy.

Isn't Maya just getting cuter every day? Her little happy trot, her endless smiles—it’s impossible not to melt... And Freya, my sweet girl, my constant, my heart… Always there, always watching, always by my side.

Life moves on, days slip away, and yet these moments—these simple, precious moments—are what we treasure the most. Things change, seasons shift, but love, companionship, and the memories we create along the way… those are forever. ❤️

Freya, our wise little philosopher, gazing into the distance... perhaps pondering what 2025 holds 🐾.

Can you believe this beautiful girl is turning 6 this year? 😭 Time feels like it’s flown by faster than her zoomies. Good thing is she has been getting a lot of energy and running faster than Maya! And definitely losing weight, feels too skinny now!

Reflecting on how quickly life moves has me thinking about how I can use my time more wisely—choosing what truly matters, picking my battles, and focusing on the good stuff.
