From a tree-lined passage in Sussex to the silhouette of Mount Fuji, Jeffrey Conley’s photographs explore landscape, atmosphere, and our relationship to place. Opening September 24 at FAS44 [@freyboyartsalon], “Jeffrey Conley: Poetry of Place”brings together a selection of the photographer’s recognizable landscapes alongside new works. Based in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Conley creates photographs that draw out the scale and subtle details of a place. A master printer as well as a photographer, Conley works across traditional gelatin silver, platinum palladium, and archival pigment printing on Japanese Kozo paper, bringing the same precision to the physical print as he does to the image itself. The opening reception will benefit Three Square [@threesquarelv], a Southern Nevada nonprofit working to provide food to those in need, with raffle items including a photograph by Conley. FAS44 is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, “Jeffrey Conley: Poetry of Place,” featuring the remarkable works of photographer Jeffrey Conley. Opening September 24, the exhibition in collaboration with the Peter Fetterman Gallery in Los Angeles, promises to transport viewers to a world where nature’s beauty takes center stage. Currently residing in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, Conley’s ability to capture the essence of nature is unparalleled. Conley is also a master printer, with each photographic print a testament to his meticulous craftsmanship and exacting standards. He works in multiple processes, which include traditional gelatin silver darkroom processes, platinum palladium prints, and archival pigment prints on Japanese Kozo paper. The exhibition will feature a carefully curated selection of Conley’s most recognizable works, along with new images never exhibited before. The opening reception will support Three Square, a nonprofit organization that provides food to people in need across Southern Nevada. The event will feature exciting raffle items, including an image by the artist and lunch with Three Square leadership. “Jeffrey Conley: Poetry of Place” promises to be a must-see event for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and collectors. After the opening reception, the exhibition will be on view by appointment only through December 1.
