Questioning the norm. 👁️🌲🪵

Sweden is actually the first country in the world where under 4% of people smoke daily. But then you walk into a shop in Stockholm and there’s an entire wall of nicotine. Flavoured like sweets.🍬 Snus did get a generation of smokers off cigarettes. So that worked. But the people that are driving the sales now were never smokers. 40% of Swedish 17-year-olds have tried pouches. And when “tobacco-free” white snus launched in 2016, it slipped outside tobacco law completely - so it could be advertised, flavoured and influencer-marketed. All the things that are banned for cigarettes.“so what about sweet shops.” - I’ve been thinking about this. But sugar doesn’t build physical dependence, and nobody has reformulated a chocolate bar specifically to dodge laws written to protect kids… 😬Since moving to Sweden - I’ve become my healthiest ever. But the normalisation of snus is ridiculous IMO. Why encourage & make it easy for people to be addicted to nicotine?Snus vs cigarettes = snus wins. Snus vs nothing = it loses. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 by @fridawaywell

Asking the hard questions now - for a better life later Would I still want this if no one ever saw me with it?Does it make sense for me to use this product?Does my food need this ingredient in it?If I say no to how others my age are living their life, what will happen?🤍🫶🫶 by @fridawaywell

Having skin issues is a super sensitive topic so I won’t pretend I know what will work for you (because this is NOT medical advice) but these things just helped me A LOT, so they might just help you too🤍🤍Step 1:I ate more, at the same time every day.Stopped waiting until I was starving to eat my meals. Also stopped fearing food. (Obvs took some time) Step 2:I went from vegetarian/ almost vegan - to eating fish, eggs and some dairy, then eventually meat again.Step 3:I went to see a dermatologist to get scientifically backed products - I still use the face wash today. It’s the only one that worked.Step 4: Sleep, rest, stressing less. Calming myself and getting my hormones back on track was a big part of healing my skin.Less strength training especially if I hadn’t eaten before it.Step 5:A varied, real-foods diet. That’s basically it. It was less about what goes on my skin and more about how I was taking care of myself. It took a few weeks of this to already see improvements… 🤍 there were ups and downs but now after trial and error- I know what my body likes and what it takes to thrive - you will find yours too🫶Follow me for content around health, nature & questioning the norm 🫶👁️ by @fridawaywell

My skin guided me to truth- it forced me to question the system and the way it helps people (especially women)When healing my skin and my hormones, I wasn’t once asked about my stress, routines, connection etc… but I was asked if I was my face 🫠It was disappointing to say the least… Social media and the people I met through it changed my entire life, and I hope I can be that person for someone too. Because my love, you deserve MORE than a life of confusion & lies 🫶🫶 by @fridawaywell

This is nothing about not having your basic needs being met, but this is about thinking that it’s successful to not “have” to do anything. This is where I think the whole marketing around “freedom” needs some work. Because to be free of all responsibilities isn’t an accurate version of success. To be free of being needed by the people who love you and needing them, isn’t an accurate version of success.Community, being of service, and helping each other are all acts that allow us to feel wanted, happy and fulfilled, and aren’t those the real metrics of success?Follow @fridawaywell for more Helping you question what you have been told to believe 👁️🤍 by @fridawaywell

10 products I purged from my life when I learnt the truth behind the ingredients 👇 I’ve been on this journey for 5 years. It’s not been linear at ALL. I’ve swung back and forth, struggled to fit the changes into my every day life, and had moments when I’ve completely given up…But in the last year, I’ve been more disciplined than ever (because I learned more about WHY these products don’t serve me) I’ve purged 10 things - and I’ll never go back. They’re easy & your body deserves better !!!!🫶1/ perfumes - I just don’t think they’re necessary at all 😂 unless you’re trying to impress someone who is impressed by expensive perfume and brand names? And if so, sorry I will never understand 2/ Tea bagsMost cheap ones are made with plastic. Herbal blends are often weak + low quality, so you’re not even getting the benefits. Switch to loose-leaf.3/ Products with parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, synthetic fragrance, sulfatesSave this list. 👆(I’ve started making my own natural products at home - lmk if you want recipes!!?)4/ Ultra-processed foods😭 additives, preservatives, hidden chemicals. You’ll notice the change fast → more energy, clearer skin, less bloating. (this is what happened to me)5/ Wi-Fi + phones at nightTurn it off. Put your phone on airplane mode. Please stop sleeping next to it.This could make huge changes to your sleep 💤 6/ Air - No air fresheners, scented candles, or chemical cleaners. We make candles from sky wax and essential oils, they’re easy and fun!7/ multi-surface cleaners (I haven’t gotten round to the rest of the cleaning products yet🥲) But instead of chemicals on your surfaces - Swap them for vinegar, baking soda, or essential oils if you want a scent.🤍/ minimising plasticNo microwaving in it. Replace storage + bottles with glass or stainless steel. Same for cookware → ditch non-stick PTFE/Teflon, go for stainless, ceramic, or cast iron.9/ body butters - they usually contain the chemicals listen above ☝️ for this- coconut oil is your bff!!10/ hair serums - instead I use rosemary water for my scalp, and plant oils for the ends 🪴💛 by @fridawaywell
