Eine bei vielen ungeliebte Aufgabe: Spirolox einsetzen. Ich kann's verstehen, mein erster Versuch hat auch etwas gedauert. Aber mit etwas Geduld und Fingerfertigkeit ist so ein Ring in unter einer Minute sauber verbaut - auch ohne Spezialwerkzeug.

Einer der wichtigsten Schritte, der beim DIY Motorenbau leider viel zu oft übersprungen wird, ist das nachmessen wirklich aller Lagerspiele. Oft fehlen die richtigen Messmittel und mancher Stelle kommt man daran auch nicht vorbei. Doch für die grundlegenden Maße kann jeder mit ein wenig Zeiteinsatz und einem Einweg-Messwerkzeug für ca. 10€ auch problemlos selbst umsetzen: Plastigage. Eine echt tolle Sache, die auch bei Profis im Einsatz ist, für den DIY Schrauber aber absolut bezahlbar ist.
