Come one, come all THIS SATURDAY! We still have plenty of tickets left to our 9/26 Wild & Scenic Film Festival Night in Paradise. Join us for a night of inspiration at the Paradise Performing Arts Center (just 15 minutes from Chico) and support our Salmon Stronghold!

This night’s theme is ‘Mobilize’ and we’ll be showing 120 minutes of short films all about environmental action and the power of communities when they come together for a common goal: to protect, restore, and improve their natural areas for wildlife and people alike. All films were selected from the acclaimed South Yuba City Citizens League (SYRCL)’s annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival for our Butte County festival!

Along with the films, you’ll hear from Allen Harthorn, our Executive Director, about the last, best run of spring-run Chinook salmon in California (right here in Butte Creek), our upcoming Flood Plain restoration project to restore habitat for Salmon, and more.

We’ll also be having a Q & A session with one of the film directors, Michael Weir, the director of ‘Native to the Klamath’, a story told through the voices of the salmon people about the historic recovery of the Klamath River following the removal of four hydroelectric dams. There will also be a membership drawing, beverages for purchase, and a small silent auction.

Don’t miss out on this relaxing night on the ridge — with films full of stunning wildlife, cutting edge conservation and research tactics, and inspiring storytelling!
