Himalayan Balsam has been sighted growing on the riverbanks again. Join us next Saturday 13th to help clear this invasive plant and litter pick along the Stort. Please bring wellies if you have them (pre-cleaned for the biosecurity of the river). by @friendsofcastlepark

Another fantastic, multi-pronged effort from our volunteers on this National #DayOfAction for nature , clearing scrub from #waytemorecastle walls, managing the meadow and litter picking around #castlepark.

A Monumental effort by our volunteers today planting 430 native hedging plants at #grangepaddocksplayingfield together with @cmsherts . These trees were donated as part of @hertscc 'Your Trees Our Future' Project. They will help to improve a wildlife corridor across the fields for birds, bats, insects and other wildlife. #treeplanting #hedgeplanting #hedgerows #conservation #conservationvolunteers #grangepaddocks by @friendsofcastlepark

Park Play had a very successful launch on Saturday 2nd August. 140 people have registered and about 40 attended the first event. It's great to see so many people enjoying our park. by @friendsofcastlepark
