I’ve always felt culturally Jewish. But lately I’ve been figuring out what Judaism means to me on a more spiritual level.

My favorite part of going to temple has always been when the rabbi takes the parsha and connects it to what’s happening in our lives today. @shalemapp brings that feeling into my everyday. It links ancient Torah wisdom to my own reflections, and it’s become like a personal diary that keeps me grounded.

If you’re on a similar journey, or don’t even know where to start, download the app & lmk what you think 🪬

It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since the tragedy that forever changed our world.

I was just 5 years old. My grandmother was working in Manhattan that day, and my aunt and uncle were in the city too.

I don’t remember it the way they do, but I grew up living its aftermath. That aftermath is something we all know well, especially after October 7th. We’re still fighting a common enemy, just on a different front.

This Rosh Hashanah has a deeper meaning because of today’s anniversary. Rosh Hashanah marks the Jewish New Year, a time of reflection, renewal, and new beginnings as we look back on the year that’s passed and set our intentions for the year ahead.

Today, I’m setting my intention for a sweet new year ahead and thinking of the families who lost their loved ones on 9/11. Shana Tova ❤️‍🩹

As we head into the new year, I feel split between two worlds.

I was fortunate enough to be in Israel for the last two weeks. I’ve been so lucky to be able to travel and live between places because of remote work.

So maybe the real question isn’t “which one do I choose” - it’s do I have to choose at all? Can you actually live part time in both, raise a family, build a life between two worlds?
