Young people are not just the future of tourism. They are the energy, creativity, and driving force shaping its future today.

We had a privilege and an opportunity to have been invited to attend the youths dialogue and conference organised by the Arusha Regiona Commisioners office as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations. The dialogue brought together over 200 youths and tourism industry practitioners and experts to discuss the opportunities available in the tourism sector towards AFCON 2027 with the theme "From Tourism to Opportunities."

Tourism is more than just travelling to new places, exploring and enjoying destinations. It is a pathway to jobs, entrepreneurship, innovation, investment, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.

As AFCON comes to Tanzania and East Africa, we must look beyond the game. AFCON is more than just football. It is a gateway to tourism, business, investment, hospitality, cultural exchange, and countless opportunities for young people.

We believe that when we meaningfully engage and empower youth in tourism, we are not simply creating opportunities for today. We are building a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable industry for tomorrow.

Much Appreciation to the Arusha Regional Commissioner's Office for organising this impactful and productive session. Thanks to Tanzania Tourist Board Northern Zone for creating more learning and engaging platforms for youths in tourism. by @friendsofnaturetanzania

As part of the World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations, we had a great honour to receive an invitation and an an opportunity to participate in the Arusha International Tourism Conference organised by @iaa_tz on 25th September at Mt. Meru Hotel, Arusha @mountmeruhotel.arusha

The conference brought together and provided a platform for stakeholders, technology experts, educators, institutions, and practitioners to explore how technology advancements and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform the global Tourism sector as this year's theme stated " Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism "

It was a valuable opportunity to learn, share ideas, promote tourism and conservation, and engaging with stakeholders on creating opportunities for youths through tourism, digital innovation and investment as well as exploring new possibilities for the sector.

We believe that young people are a vital force in building and shaping a stronger, more innovative, and sustainable sector.

Much appreciation and congratulations to the Institute of Accountancy Arusha @iaa_tz through the Tourism department for organising this conference and creating a platform that connects knowledge, innovation, and opportunity for the future of tourism industry.

We remain committed to shaping the future of tourism and conservation and creating opportunities for young people as well as contributing to a tourism sector that is innovative, inclusive, sustainable, and impactful.

From exploring the beauty and history of @kuzacave in Paje to taking part in a fun archaeological puzzle, every moment gave us something new to discover.

But this was only the beginning… 👀

What came next @impact_circle__ showed us how art can become a powerful voice for environmental awareness, especially in telling the story of plastic pollution and waste management. 🎭♻️🌍

Exploring our roots, celebrating our heritage. 🇹🇿🌍

As a Guardians of the Peak (GOP) Ambassador, I had the opportunity to visit the Village Museum with fellow ambassadors as part of activities leading up to World Tourism Day.

A beautiful reminder that tourism is not only about places we visit, but also about the people, culture, traditions and stories that make Tanzania unique. 🇹🇿

Let’s explore, preserve and promote our heritage. 🌿✨

🌍 World Cleanup Day is here!
Today, I joined Kilimanjaro Plantations Limited, Kilimanjaro Environmental Preservation, Roots & Shoots Kilimanjaro, ANIEL Foundation, Zara Tours, Africa Scenic Safaris, Friends of Nature Tanzania, and Moshi Municipal Environmental Officers and District Executive Officer, speaking on behalf of Tanzania Youth Environmental Speakers (YES).
Every year, millions of people around the world come together for one simple but powerful act — cleaning up our environment, one street, beach, and neighborhood at a time. As a climate justice advocate and environmental defender, this day is a reminder that small collective actions add up to real change.
I am grateful to stand alongside these partners in taking responsibility for our environment. 🧤🗑️
