Extending our deepest condolences to family and friends of Robin Erikkson. The former CKUWer was a champion of campus & community radio and her passing leaves a giant silence in the national airwaves. by @friendsofumfm

Next time on Talkin Hockey…. The Vintage Wax Pack Attack tournament, Part 1! Over the course of this season, we’ve been opening up packs of classic #hockeycards and selecting one card per pack to construct a roster - the rules are pretty simple - you have to have all the positions covered and you’re allowed one special insert card per roster allowed. Special allowances may be made if needed based on nothing in particular (see: messier playing wing). We’ve got ten total teams now and on the next episode of Talkin’ Hockey, we will be making our 6th team each for a total of 12 altogether which just so happens to make a perfectly sized playoff bracket! We’ll be cracking into a Six Pack of Wax, Jack. We will be opening six packs each of 1992 O-Pee-Chee’s to build the final teams. Then! The playoff begins… exact format to be announced. We might need our listeners help! Listener engagement, right on. 👍

Tune in next Monday (July 29) 5:00 pm on UMFM 101.5 fm (podcast to follow the terrestrial radio airing) set your frickin reminder bud! #90shockeycards #sixpacks taken in UMFM 101.5 by @friendsofumfm
