2022 was my year of self-discovery and love. When I came out for the first time on April 9th, I had no idea how much my life would change and how much happier I could be.

Happy 2nd birthgay to me!

Cute story: When I first started to come out, I used to wear a little rainbow bracelet that I made myself. Its purpose was to let people discreetly know I was gay, without needing to tell them. I was scared that I’d be treated differently and be turned away for opportunities. I wanted to just be Billy with no other labels.

Thank you to everybody for your continued support, loving me, and allowing me to be myself. It’s this family of support that means I no longer worry about what others think of me. by @friendswithbilly

March. This month has been really mentally challenging. Some things just keep me awake at night more than they should.

Instead of dealing with them, I bought myself a new camera which I now take with me everywhere and record lots of silly little videos.

- Sandbag squats are uncomfortably one of my favourites.
- Cinematic.
- Bad angle, and even worse overhead reverse lunges, but please take a moment and appreciate my legs. I work so hard on them.
- Flashing lights really does make anything exciting, especially cycling.
- I introduced my dad to Brazilian food. We ate feijoada, coxinhas and churros. He loved it as much as I do.
- Taking a moment to appreciate just how lucky I am.
- Yes chef.
- Very common symptoms for not wishing me a good morning.

Lisbon. We estimated I ate somewhere between 12 and 25 pastel de natas over the 6 day trip. It was also the first time I met Ery’s mum. She does not speak English and I do not speak Portuguese, so we only communicated with the 5 words I actually know.
