We proudly support adults and children impacted by domestic violence to rebuild their lives with purpose, dignity and hope 💜
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Christmas isn’t joyful for everyone. For a parent rebuilding life after domestic and family violence, Christmas can bring a very different kind of pressure. A new home, a tight budget and the worry of not being able to put something special under the tree for their children.

That’s where our Christmas Drive, and this incredible community, can make a difference.

Some of the items most needed include:
🎁 Gifts for teenagers
🧴 Toiletries
💜 Gift cards
📚 Books
🧸 Toys

All donated gifts should be new and unwrapped, please.
A gift might feel like a small gesture, but to someone rebuilding their life, it can be a beautiful reminder that their community sees them and cares.

Planning to apply for a Little Friends Scholarship? You’ll need a Sponsor. 💜

A Sponsor is the person you nominate to endorse your application. They’re not someone who pays for it or contributes financially.

It’s worth thinking about who you’d like to ask before Round 17 applications open on 16 November.

URGENT REQUEST | BROKEN WINDOW REPAIR | $370

Everyone deserves to feel safe and secure in their own home.

We're reaching out to our wonderful community to help someone who has fled domestic and family violence and is supporting a young person living with disability. A broken window in their rented home has created an unexpected expense of $370, a cost they simply cannot afford right now.

After everything they've already experienced, this is one more worry we would love to help take away. We're hoping our community can come together to cover this essential repair and help restore a little more security and peace of mind.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to our $370 goal.

If you're in a position to help, please consider donating or sharing this post.

To donate, simply tap the 'Friends With Dignity Ltd' donation button on our Instagram profile, just below the link in our bio.

Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference. by @friendswithdignity

Sanctuary 1049 is complete, and what a beautiful transformation.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers, donors and corporate partners, this unit has been transformed into a warm, welcoming Sanctuary for someone rebuilding their life after domestic and family violence.

A special thank you to Steven Buckell for delivering everything needed and Darrell Whitford for assembling the furniture and helping bring this space together.

A very special thank you to @totalpropertygroup for getting behind our 2026 Sponsor a Sleigh campaign. 💜

Their generous support is helping Friends with Dignity turn the kindness of our community into Christmas gifts delivered to children and families impacted by domestic and family violence.

Behind every donated gift is the work required to collect, sort, pack and deliver it where it needs to go. Sponsor a Sleigh helps make that journey possible.

Thank you, Total Property Group, for coming on board and helping us carry a little more Christmas magic to the families we support. ✨

Inspired to join them?

💜 CAN YOU HELP? A LAPTOP OR iPAD NEEDED IN WA

Sometimes, something as simple as a laptop can make an incredible difference in a young person's life.

We're reaching out to our wonderful community in the hope of finding a laptop or iPad in good working condition for a young person in Western Australia who is rebuilding their life after experiencing domestic and family violence.

Having access to their own device can open doors to education, connection, independence and new opportunities. We're hoping someone in our community might have a laptop or iPad they no longer need, but that still has plenty of life left to give.

📍 Located in Western Australia, or willing to ship to WA? We'd love to hear from you!
Please email donate@friendswithdignity.org.au with details of the device, its condition and your location.

To help our team coordinate donations quickly, please direct all offers to the email address above rather than the comments.

💜 Little Things. Big Love. An Extraordinary Act of Kindness.

Sometimes, the most beautiful acts of kindness come from people who simply want to make life a little easier for someone else.

And this is one of those moments.

Our incredible friends at @Little World Worongary Early Learning have gone above and beyond, bringing their community together to Fill a Cot with Love for families experiencing domestic and family violence.

Just look at what they've achieved!

From nappies and baby essentials to clothing, toiletries and so much more, every single item represents someone who took the time to think about a family they may never meet. Someone who cared enough to give. Someone who wanted to make a difference.

Research shows that 2 in 5 Australians surveyed had experienced exposure to domestic violence during childhood. Behind statistics like this are real families, real children and lives that deserve safety, kindness and hope.

For a parent starting over with very little, imagine what it means to know that complete strangers have thought about your baby, your children and the little things you need to begin again. That's what makes this initiative so incredibly special.

To the wonderful team at Little World Early Learning Centres, the families who contributed and everyone who helped bring this beautiful collection together, we cannot thank you enough. The thought, time, effort and genuine care that have gone into this are simply extraordinary.

You've done so much more than fill a cot with essentials. You've filled it with compassion, generosity and the beautiful reminder that there are people in this world who care. 💜

From all of us at Friends with Dignity, thank you.

Small team. HUGE impact.

Today we welcomed a small but mighty team of five from QIC to our warehouse for a Community Volunteering Day, and what a difference they made!

The team kicked off the day by putting together welcome packs for one of our referring agencies, helping provide practical essentials to families accessing support.

Then they took on a HUGE warehouse project.

Our upstairs storage area was very full and difficult to navigate. In just one day, the QIC team sorted through donations, completely reorganised the space and labelled everything.

The transformation is incredible. We genuinely cannot stress enough what an amazing job they did! What was once a very full and difficult-to-navigate area is now organised, functional and so much easier for our volunteers to work within. It will make a real difference to how we manage donations and prepare support for families.

To finish the day, the team helped us prepare for one of our Sanctuaries taking place this week, making sure everything is ready to support a family rebuilding their life after domestic and family violence.

Five people. One day. An incredible amount achieved.

A huge thank you to the QIC team for rolling up their sleeves, getting stuck in and making such a tangible difference.

Community volunteering days like this help keep our programs moving and allow us to continue providing practical support to people rebuilding their lives after domestic and family violence.

Thank you, QIC! 💜 by @friendswithdignity
