ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MEASURE DIVIDE

@measuredivide is the project of Fahad, a Karachi-born, Toronto-based DJ and producer. After years of touring internationally as part of a duo, he launched the project in 2012 to pursue a sharper, more individual sound.

The following year, he founded @format.toronto, an underground event series that has grown into one of North America’s leading platforms for boundary-pushing electronic music. Through FORMAT, Fahad has played a significant role in reshaping Toronto’s techno landscape and building the community that surrounds it today.

Behind the decks, Measure Divide channels raw physical energy through quick pivots, sharp edges, and layers that build, collide and redirect without warning. His uncompromising approach has taken him across Europe and the Americas, with notable appearances at Berghain, Tresor, Boiler Room, Stereo, Under Club, K41, and Public Records.

The grit, tension, and experimentation found throughout his productions carry into his sets and track selection, creating an unpredictable sound that consistently resists formula. His work has appeared on respected labels including Mutual Rytm and Clergy.

More than a decade into both Measure Divide and FORMAT, Fahad remains a vital force in Toronto’s techno community, connecting global and local voices through a genuine passion for the music.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: AADJA (aa-dee-aa)

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and now based in Berlin, @aadja has spent more than a decade shaping her distinct world as a DJ, producer, and vocalist.

Known for a sound that moves through ethereal textures, raw emotion, and experimental techno, AADJA emerged from Toronto’s underground rave scene through her FORMAT residency and all-night sets in packed DIY spaces. Since then, she has carried her sound across the Americas, Europe, and beyond.

From touring with Richie Hawtin, to performing at Ellen Allien’s We Are Not Alone, her journey has taken her to renowned spaces all around the world including Tresor, Printworks, Amnesia Ibiza, and Lofi Amsterdam.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome AADJA back to London and have her join Frissons for the first time as we celebrate our one year anniversary.

SEPT 19TH // FRISSONS x NEC

One year ago, it started here.

Our very first Frissons event was brought to life alongside @necevents. A first step into something we couldn’t yet imagine would grow into what it is today.

Now, one year later, we come back together.

For our one year anniversary, Frissons and NEC reunite for a full-circle night, returning to the place where it all began to celebrate everything that has taken shape since, and everything still to come.

For the special occasion, we welcome two headliners who have forever left their mark on Toronto’s underground:

For the first time ever Frissons leaves the dark rooms behind and steps into the open air.

Join us on August 1st for the long weekend as we gather outside for our first ever Open Air Session, a daytime showcase featuring some of the best talent from London’s scene.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT // ISABEL SOTO

Venezuelan-born and Berlin-based, @__isabelsoto is a DJ and producer known for creating immersive, one-of-a-kind experiences that reach far beyond the dancefloor. Her journey began in Canada within Montreal’s underground scene, where she developed her raw, hypnotic, percussive sound and a freedom to experiment that continues to define her approach today.

Through abstract textures, deep driving rhythms, and carefully layered energy, she crafts sets that feel both intimate and infinite, guiding dancers through emotional, atmospheric journeys that linger long after the music ends.

Founder of NYXII Records, with releases on respected imprints including Ostgut Ton, Isabel has built a path defined by intention rather than hype, earning recognition at iconic institutions such as Berghain and Tresor through a sound that leaves a lasting imprint wherever she plays.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT // JASH GOHEL

Originally from Mumbai and now based in Canada, @jashgohel has spent the last few years carving out a distinct place within the underground electronic scene. Drawn to the dancefloor from an early age, his relationship with music quickly evolved from fascination into a way of life, shaped by late nights, community, movement, and sound.

Known for hypnotic groove driven sets, Jash blends rolling percussion, tribal textures, deep rhythmic flow, and immersive transitions that keep the energy in constant motion. Inspired by artists and spaces rooted in true underground culture, his sound leans into tension, storytelling, and atmosphere rather than instant gratification.

Outside the booth, Jash is one of the key figures behind Frissons, helping create experiences that bring together collective energy, genuine connection, and forward thinking electronic music for the London underground community. Whether opening a room or guiding a late night journey, his focus always returns to one thing: making people feel connected through the dancefloor.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT // PRINCE OF POLAND

Emerging from the shadows, @prince.of_poland delivers deep, raw energy rooted in atmosphere and tension. While his name behind the decks may be new to some, you've likely already experienced his work through the role he plays in helping bring all our Frissons events to life.

As a sound engineer and lighting designer, Avery knows how to shape a room from the inside out, with a deep understanding of how sound moves, how tension builds, and how energy evolves across a dancefloor. Through hypnotic rhythms, driving percussion, and industrial textures, his selections are designed to pull dancers deeper into the night.

Having spent years crafting environments behind the scenes across underground spaces and large-scale productions alike, he brings technical precision and a natural instinct for movement to every set, building the foundation before the walls fully come alive.
