My most cherished dreams are those where I am suddenly transported somewhere completely alien and get to experience the joy of discovering the world again for the first time.

My ride-or-die photographer @judevadee and stylist extraordinaire @iosonoluvi turned one of these much-yearned-for dream excursions into reality in August. At the @floatinguniversity , an unexpected green oasis right in the core of our city. Assisting the shoot was @loupdefoudre , who kept us well-lit and fit for film. The results of this creative partnership?

Today, we are releasing our first community production, Detritum.

Starting in the fall of 2025, Detritum was conceived as a community production: Each artist received a specific recording. In a collaborative decomposition, these recordings served as a starting point for individual exploration and communal exercise.

Detritum is a study of transformation – of how sound, like matter, can be broken down and reformed. What begins as the microscopic activity of decomposers beneath the undergrowth becomes the seed of a larger, collective process: sounds passed between artists, eroded, absorbed, and reconstituted into new configurations. The project treats listening itself as a kind of ecological practice – an attention to the fragile, residual, and transient.

We invite you to tune in or attend our listening session in-person on Saturday 25 July from 15:00 - 18:00. (please e-mail for RSVP)

🪴 Drinking time with the studio plants. A little bit of Indoor #fieldrecording for not so sunny days.

🎙️ Recorded with an improvised “hydrophone” using the @contactmics #contactmic strapped to a tent pole. A cost effective way to make a highly sensitive soil microphone with really good HF response.

Here are some behind-the-scenes snapshots of our latest release on @careof.co 🍦

We started jamming together in @aude_langlois charming countryside studio, exploring prepared #piano , acoustic #feedback and #modularsynthesizer techniques together. By the end, we even played a little concert for some friends. 🌳

What started as a chance to get to know each other sonically is now a fully realised mini-album ready for your ears and imaginations. ✨

Here you can see all the fun tools we (ab)used for this project. My faturite is definitely the painter’s spatula! 💥

Ancient suns, all-seeing eyes, sacred towers. The same symbols keep surfacing as surveillance networks, atomic insignia, UFO sightings, algorithmic feeds. ‘A Thousand Suns’ traces these recurrences through personal memory, myth, and the endless scroll. Fragments of social media cut in and redirect: seductive, overwhelming, sometimes funny. A heatwave summer, strange lights hanging still above a NATO airbase. Declassified CIA documents about astral travel resurfacing as 60-second reels. Spoken word unfolding over a slow-burning, atmospheric soundscape.
