Cuba shot on IPhone. after 5 years of not going to Cuba, I went last year with my mom for mother’s day to surprise hers. hiii :b heres a bit on how i’ve made short films on my phone camera 🎬(2) Hello! this is one of my favorite songs :) in it Willie Colón asks the question, “Oh what is it, what is it?”pondering the intangible and the unseen; love, loss, and the human condition.and l used to listen to this song with an incomplete answer to Willie’s question.today I confidently have the answer:It is our God.Such unmeasurable, unseen truths, bigger than us such as love, grief, rational thinking, and hope - all prove the existence of a divine, emotional being bigger than us.For by experiencing love you experience God. You feel empathy for a stranger online as you donate to their gofundme to go to school; you experience God. You grieve the loss of a close loved one, who now only lives through memory, that non-physical truth; you experience God.Willie’s lyrics (translated): “I believe in many things I haven’t seen, and you do too, I know. You can’t deny the existence of something felt, however ethereal it may be. There’s no need to show proof of the decency of that which is so true. The only gesture is to believe or not.
