welcome to my little hobby corner of the internet!
from skratchstad will be a place to show off all my ‘from scratch’ creations. The name ‘from skratchstad’ is meant to honor just that & pay homage to the long line of creators from my Skarstad family!

14 granny squares is a good start to my new project 👀

p.s. there’s nothing wrong with just watching tv all day, I just needed an additional dopamine hit (or 14) by @from.skratchstad

Behind The (cross) Stitch for my latest finished piece!

it all started with an idea…
my mom told me “[my birthday] is celebration of the first day I met my mom” so this gift to honor her felt right 🤍

this project had a pretty big oops along the way… I started the tulip petal then stepped away for a day. when I came back to the project, I used the wrong colored thread to continue (top left, it looks so minimal on camera but it was noticeable TO ME). I had to pick all of the prior petal and redo with the correct thread 🫣

so happy with and proud of the final result!!! I love making meaningful art and being able to share it with the people I love 🫶🏻 by @from.skratchstad

loved this yarn person, my sister said it best:
“if you cut me open, this what I imagine my insides to look like”

so amazing what beauty humans can capture

the more you look, the more you find, art’s all around us all the time…

reminiscing on a full day of eating this weekend at the great MN get together!

#mnstatefair #mnstatefairfood

a lot of my top bites were the classics, the only new food making my list is Dockside Poppers (we forgot to try the croquettes 😭)

what’s inside 1st & 3rd place? tater tot hot dish is a MN classic placed on a stick! the poppers are stuffed with a lot but they really just tasted like stuffed jalapeños! by @from.skratchstad
