Are we practically neighbours, or are you gardening on the other side of the world? I'm from Wigan, Greater Manchester! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง I'm curious where everyone else is from, so let me know in the comments! I'll pop in and say hi! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ’š #GardeningCommunity #Gardening #PlantLovers #GardenLife #FromSoilToBloom by @from.soiltobloom
Will my first bulb lasagne be a blooming success or a complete disaster? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've finally given bulb lasagne planting a go! Layers of tulips, narcissus and crocuses, all tucked into one pot, ready to put on a show next spring. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค I've gone for a purple and white theme, and I'm already imagining how lovely it'll look when everything starts flowering! Now comes the hardest partโ€ฆ waiting until spring to see whether I've got the layers right! Have you tried planting a bulb lasagne before? Any tips for a first-timer? #BulbLasagne #Flower #autumnvibes #Gardening #gardeninspiration by @from.soiltobloom
๐Ÿ”ฅ 40ยฐC at lastโ€ฆ but why is nobody talking about how tricky it is to get a HotBin started?! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I thought I'd be throwing in my kitchen waste, cardboard, woodchip and watching the magic happen. Not quite! The condensation inside has been ridiculous, everything seems far too wet, and now I've spotted some mysterious white fuzzy stuff growing in there too! I've added more corrugated cardboard and woodchip to try to balance out the moisture, but I'm definitely learning as I go. The temperature has finally reached 40ยฐC, so at least something is happening! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm determined to get this thing working properly, but it's certainly not as straightforward as the instructions make it sound. HotBin owners, please tell me I'm not the only one who's struggled at the beginning! Any advice? #HotBin #HotComposting #HomeComposting #CompostingTips #Gardening by @from.soiltobloom
Spring 2027 is going to be purple and white! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค My Farmer Gracy delivery has arrived, and I've got 53 bulbs across 7 gorgeous varieties waiting to be planted! I've chosen a mixture of tulips, crocuses and narcissus, including some beautiful double-flowered varieties. I can't wait to see them all come to life next spring! ๐ŸŒฑ I've added a little flower preview to each packet so you can see what I'm hoping to grow. Now I just need to get them all planted! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Swipe through and help me choose a favourite! Which variety would you pick for your garden? I'm especially excited about Cassis Meringue and Blue Diamond! ๐Ÿ’œ #SpringBulbs #SpringGarden #Tulip #Gardening #Flower by @from.soiltobloom
I had a rather unexpected visitor in my front garden recentlyโ€ฆ A lovely, chunky hedgehog! ๐Ÿ˜ And it got me thinking about how much these little creatures do for our gardens. They're busy exploring while we're tucked up in bed, munching on beetles, caterpillars, worms and other creepy crawlies. The best part? You don't need a huge garden to help them. Even small changes can make a difference. Swipe through to discover what hedgehogs eat and how to make your garden a little more welcoming. Have you spotted a hedgehog in your garden this autumn? I'd love to know! ๐Ÿฆ”โค๏ธ #Hedgehog #Wildlife #GardenLife #Gardening #FromSoilToBloom by @from.soiltobloom
Would you believe this is in Greater Manchester?! ๐Ÿ˜ The Chinese Garden at RHS Bridgewater was absolutely stunning! Those fiery red maples, peaceful water features and beautiful little pathways made it feel like we'd stepped into another world. Autumn really is showing off at the moment! โค๏ธ Have you visited RHS Bridgewater yet? #RHSBridgewater #AutumnColours #JapaneseMaple #GardenInspiration #Gardening by @from.soiltobloom
Is this even a real flower?! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’œ Spotted this incredible passionflower at RHS Bridgewater and couldn't stop looking at it! Those purple threads are called the corona, and they help attract pollinators. ๐ŸŒฟ Have you ever grown a passionflower? I'd love to know! #Passionflower #RHSBridgewater #PlantLovers #Gardening #Flower by @from.soiltobloom
Who knew a greenhouse could look this good in autumn?! ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽƒ Okay, the pumpkins aren't actually growing in there ๐Ÿ˜‚ but I loved how RHS Bridgewater had turned the glasshouse into such a lovely autumn display! ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒฟ Would you have this many pumpkins in your garden? ๐ŸŽƒ #RHSBridgewater #Autumn #Pumpkin #GardenInspiration #Gardening by @from.soiltobloom
Red or white? Which one is your favourite? I've been giving my hanging planters a bit of an autumn refresh! I picked up some cyclamen and a mix of foliage plants to add a bit of colour for the colder months. And of course, I had to pop a little robin in each one! ๐Ÿฆ I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. #autumn #hangingbaskets #flowers #gardeninspiration #gardening by @from.soiltobloom
I could honestly spend hours in here! ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฟ The Orangery at Dunham Massey has to be one of the most beautiful little places. The tropical plants, the climbing greenery, and those absolutely stunning botanical paintings! Everything looks so beautiful together. Sometimes I still can't believe I'm lucky enough to volunteer somewhere surrounded by all this. ๐Ÿ’š It's not just the gardening I'm falling in love with, it's the little places and details I get to discover along the way. Does anyone else absolutely love botanical art? ๐ŸŒบ #Botanical #Art #TropicalPlants #GardenInspiration #Gardening by @from.soiltobloom
New reading material has arrived! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒฑ It's absolutely chucking it down outside, so I'm making the most of being stuck indoors! Hoping this little beauty will help me get my head around everything for my RHS Level 2 exams. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜‚ Rainy days aren't wasted days! ๐Ÿ’š #RHSLevel2 #HorticultureStudent #Horticulture #Gardening #FromSoilToBloom by @from.soiltobloom
I've finally taken the plunge into hot composting! I've wanted to make my own compost for ages, but having an open compost heap just isn't an option in my garden. I hate throwing away kitchen scraps and garden waste when they could be put to good use! After plenty of hesitation, I finally decided to get myself a HOTBIN Mini! ๐Ÿ’š The plan? Turn my waste into lovely homemade compost and hopefully make use of the liquid fertiliser too! ๐ŸŒฟ It's all set up and now comes the hardest partโ€ฆ waiting! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm so excited to see how this little experiment turns out. โ™ป๏ธ Anyone else composting in a small garden? I'd love to hear your experiences! #Hotbin #Compost #Organic #Gardening #FromSoilToBloom by @from.soiltobloom
