This week already.

On October 4, Käik × Hedonistan are getting together in Belgrade for an afternoon of cyanotype, lettering and wine at @sense_s.space

We’ll taste, draw, work with sunlight and shadows, and turn the impressions left by the wines into our own cyanotype coats of arms.

Our main collaborator, the sun, will do the rest.

Cyanotype begins with light-sensitive chemistry brushed onto paper — a surface made to catch sunlight and hold onto shadows.

Our main collaborator is the sun: the thing that develops the print, but also the thing behind the wine in our glasses.

We’ll taste, observe, translate those impressions into symbols and lettering, and each create our own hand-crafted cyanotype coat of arms — a small visual record of what the wine made us feel.

Käik x Hedonistan

On October 4, we’re hosting an afternoon of cyanotype, lettering and wine.

We’ll experiment with technique and create posters together. Also talk about something important to us — how to translate emotion into design, and let the technique follow the feeling, not the other way around.

Fellow citizens of Hedonistan!

Idea of it is born out of love for people I’ve met throughout my journeys, who live all around the globe. It is an imaginary place that we all share and live in together. And it is aimed at discovering all the different mediums and ways that bring us joy. After all, it is our choice how to properly celebrate being alive.

Hedonistan rests on unity and collaborations. Today we mark the start of a very important one. Will keep you posted as soon as we harvest all the information🍷

Hedonistan is a feeling, an emotion, a glimpse that unites us and forms a country which is not anywhere on your regular map, but exists within your heart💞🥂
