Derj Console

Part of the Shurouq Collection, the Derj console reflects the moment where light begins to define form. Its curved silhouette is realized in burgundy lacquered wood, a finish that carries both depth and restrained luminosity. Concealed drawers, integrated power sockets, and hidden mobility are seamlessly embedded within its structure, preserving the clarity of its design.

يقدم كونسول “درج” ضمن مجموعة “شروق” رؤية إبداعية تحاكي تشكّل الكتلة بفعل الضوء الأول. تبرز انحناءات القطعة من خلال الخشب المطلي باللاكيه العنابي، في توليفة تجمع بين عمق المادة ولمعانها الهادئ. وقد روعي في هندسة القطعة دمج الأدراج المخفية ومآخذ الطاقة ومزايا التنقل الخفية داخل الهيكل بأسلوب مبتكر، تذوب فيه التفاصيل العملية ليبقى نقاء التصميم وبساطته هما العنوان الأساسي.

Strata defines the foundation of the interior, conceived as a horizontal architecture shaped through time and observation.
Woven in wool and silk, the surface carries layered mineral tones and a refined luminosity, where texture and light interact subtly. Its geometry draws from observed patterns of light and shadow, translated into a precise and tactile composition.

تمنح سجادة “ستراتا” الفراغ الداخلي أساساً متيناً، مجسدةً فكرة العمارة الأفقية التي يصقلها الزمن والـتأمل. يجمع نسيجها الفاخر بين الصوف والحرير ليعبر عن أسطح غنية بطبقات من الألوان المعدنية واللمعان الراقٍ، في حوار هادئ يجمع بين طواعية الملمس والنور. وتصوغ أشكالها الهندسية محاكاة بصرية بارعة لتفاعل الضوء والظل، مترجمة إياها إلى قطعة حسية متميزة دقيقة الصنع.

Arco Coffee Table & Yay Side Table

Within the collection, Arco and Yay establish a dialogue of scale and proportion, where surfaces are defined through clarity and restraint. Wave glass and steel shape both pieces, introducing texture, reflection, and lightness into the space.

Arco, with its measured arc, anchors the composition, while Yay remains lower and closer, a complementary presence designed for proximity and ease.

Laite Ceiling Lamp

With Laite, light is reinterpreted as architecture, structured through layered geometries that expand outward from a central core. يُترجم مصباح “لايت” مفهوم الإضاءة إلى لغة معمارية تتجلى في طبقات هندسية متناسقة تنبثق بسلاسة من قلب القطعة. ويتأصل التصميم في هيكل صلب من الفولاذ، بينما تصقل شفرات الألمنيوم انبعاثات الضوء لتنثره كتوهج دافئ مفعم بالسكينة. عمل نحتي فريد تتلاحم فيه الخامة مع النور ليعبرا عن جوهر التصميم المعاصر.

ضمن مجموعة أسبوع ميلان للتصميم، يجسد كرسي “هيما” مفهوم الاحتواء من خلال تصميم تنساب فيه البنية والراحة ضمن تكوين واحد.
ويضفي الخشب المطلي باللون العنابي الداكن عمقًا على انحناءات القطعة، بينما تبرز اللمسة اللامعة تفاصيلها مع انعكاسات الضوء. قطعة نحتية تتوازن فيها دقة التنفيذ، تناسق الأبعاد، ودفء الخامة.

@SceneHome: For years, the story of design in the Arab world has often been told through isolated names: individuals who managed to break into international conversations despite the absence of larger systems capable of sustaining them. Talent was never the issue. Infrastructure was.

Five years ago, in Doha’s Msheireb district, Alia Rachid began building what she believed that missing infrastructure could look like through FROMM., a platform named after the symbolic bridge between Msheireb and Milan. One represents an emerging regional design ecosystem still defining itself; the other remains one of the global capitals of contemporary design and a benchmark for Italian craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence. Between them, Rachid envisioned a movement from regional experimentation to international visibility.

“FROMM. positioned itself to be between two worlds, I wanted to capture what’s happening in the region, in Msheireb where I live, and extend it to Milan,” Rachid tells SceneHome.

Although FROMM. operates within the luxury design space, it strongly challenges the idea that access to design should remain exclusive. This belief is reflected in FROMM.Lab, a platform focused on education and talent development, where emerging designers are supported in navigating the industry with the help of established professionals. It’s a full process that begins with the initial design thinking and carries through to production and distribution, supported along the way by research, training, and mentorship.

“It is all about creating the ecosystem that allows this creativity to grow. We bridge the gap between creativity and market-ready,” Rachid explains.
