Steal my Banff itinerary 🇨🇦

Day 1: stay at the Malcolm hotel and explore Canmore. Easy walks and hikes include Policeman’s Creek, Quarry Lake and Grassi Lakes.

Day 2: Explore Banff town - see Cascade Mountain from Downtown. Visit Johnston Canyon Lower Falls, add the Upper Falls if you can. Hike Tunnel Mountain and take the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Add on Bow Falls and Lake Minnewanka if you have time.

Day 3: Watch the sunrise from Lake Louise lakeshore. Hike the Big or Little Beehive (I love both) and stop for lunch at Lake Agnes Tea House. Stop by Moraine Lake before going back to your hotel.

Day 4: Explore Yoho National Park - visit Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, Takakkaw Falls, and Wapta Falls.

Day 5: Drive the Icefields Parkway - stop at Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, and the Athabasca Glacier. If you want to extend go all the way to Jasper and spend a few nights there!

No matter how many times I see it, Lake Louise always takes my breath away.

This particular morning was one of the best sunrises I’ve ever experienced.

The best part is that I only had to take the elevator down from my hotel room at @fairmontcll to get here. It definitely beats fighting the crowds later in the day!

This pumpkin patch near Vancouver blows me away every year! 🎃

I’ve been visiting @maanfarms for a few years now and every year they blow it out of the park!

I’ve always visited during the day, but this year you can also experience the patch after dark, when it comes to life with twinkling lights. ✨

Included in your entry ticket is access to the forest pumpkin patch, complete with giant teapots, toadstools and a pumpkin house hidden among the trees. You’ll also find barnyard animals you can feed, ziplines, a giant jumping pillow and a corn maze to explore.

And when you’re done exploring, grab one of their famous double pumpkin spice creams, served in its very own mini pumpkin. 🎃☕️

A hike I will never shut up about 🤯

📌 Save this for your Dolomites itinerary! 🇮🇹

📍 Cadini di Misurina, Dolomites, Italy

This is one of those hikes that is short on distance but HUGE on views.

🥾 Distance: 3.2 km round trip
⛰️ Elevation gain: 210 m
⏱️ Time: 1–2 hours
📍 Trailhead: Rifugio Auronzo
🥾 Difficulty: Short, but steep in sections

🚗 HOW TO GET THERE:
Drive from Misurina towards Tre Cime di Lavaredo and follow the road up to Rifugio Auronzo. You MUST reserve your parking/access in advance — the road and parking at Rifugio Auronzo are reservation-only. The parking pass currently covers 12 hours.

🌅 BEST TIME TO GO:
Sunrise. The early morning light on the Cadini peaks is absolutely unreal, and you’ll beat some of the crowds that arrive later in the day.

We did Cadini di Misurina for sunrise and then carried on to Tre Cime di Lavaredo afterwards, which made for one ridiculously good day in the Dolomites.

Only 3 km to these views… but there’s a catch 👀

The Hermit Trail in Glacier National Park, BC is only 3 km one way, but you gain around 820m of elevationin that distance.

This was the steepest hike I’ve ever done and my legs were absolutely ON FIRE going up!

We had an overnight camping reservation at Hermit Meadows Campground, where there are just 6 camping pads available to book each night. It’s one of the hardest camping reservations to get through Parks Canada.

🥾 The hike
• 3 km one way
• 820m elevation gain
• Very steep, especially towards the top
• The final 50 m is the steepest section
• There’s a rope to assist on the very last section
• The trail is well maintained and fairly wide throughout
• It starts off shaded through the trees before becoming rockier near the top

⛺ Camping at Hermit Meadows
There are wooden camping platforms and a bear-safe food locker, but no picnic tables or shelter at the campground.

🚽 The outhouse is… an experience. It’s an open-air toilet about halfway up the mountain rather than a fully enclosed, self-contained outhouse.

☎️ I actually had good 5G at the campground. The campground is close to Roger’s Pass which you can see from the top.

🐐 We didn’t spot any mountain goats, although they’re known to frequent the area. We had several little pikas scurrying around our campsite.

🚗 Getting there The trailhead is in Glacier National Park, BC, close to Rogers Pass Visitor Centre. Drive along the Trans-Canada Highway and follow the signs for the Hermit Trail/trailhead. The parking lot is popular with day hikers and fills up quickly, so arriving early is a good idea.
