One of the easiest ways to reduce the risk of scratching your wheel is to remove as much contamination as possible before contact washing.

For this wheel I used RIP Wheel Cleaner and Excalibur powerful APC from @performanceppl , allowing the chemistry to do most of the work before any wheel mitt or brush touched the surface.

This bonnet had seen years of brush washes😱

Heavy swirls, scratches and dull paint.

A proper machine polish completely transformed it.

Using @flex_tools_uk could not have been easier ✅

These gloss black B-pillars looked tired, but the right polishing process completely changed their appearance.

This transformation on these gloss black B-pillars brought the depth and clarity back, leaving a finish that looks as it should.

A two stage correction carried out on this Porsche Targa GTS.

Here are some before and after shots showing what we were up against and the final result.

The outcome is insane ✨

The wheels on this Porsche Targa GTS received the full treatment.

Wheels removed, deep cleaned inside and out, tar and iron contamination removed, machine polished and then protected with a ceramic coating.

The brake calipers were also thoroughly cleaned and ceramic coated before the wheels went back on.

The ceramic coating doesn’t just enhance the finish. It also helps reduce dirt and brake dust build up, making the wheels much easier to clean and maintain during future maintenance washes.

The outcome is spot on.

While polishing this Porsche, I discovered holograms hidden in the bonnet.

We can’t say with certainty what happened during the previous correction, but one possible explanation is that a heavy rotary and wool pad combination generated enough heat to temporarily mask the defects.

As the panel cooled down, the holograms became visible again.

This is exactly why I don’t move straight from a wool pad to a DA machine.

After every heavy cutting stage, I refine the paint with a foam waffle pad on the rotary first. It helps remove the wool pad pattern, refine the finish and confirm that the defects are genuinely gone before the final polishing stage.
