POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2001, Jeff Wohlfarth and his sister, Lisa Acerno, took over Front Street Bakery from their parents, carrying on the family tradition while also beginning a new chapter for the bakery.

Jeff, Lisa, and Jeff’s wife, Angela Wohlfarth, worked side by side, day after day, to build the bakery into what it is today. Jeff led the baking side of the business, often starting the ovens as early as midnight to make sure everything was ready for the day ahead. Lisa lead the front of the house along with her sister in law Angela, working with customers, managing the team, and making sure the bakery continued to feel like the welcoming place our community has always known and loved.

Jeff and Lisa learned so much from their parents — the recipes, traditions, work ethic, and values that had been passed down through generations. At the same time, they worked together to modernize and grow the bakery, blending those traditions with new ideas to create the Front Street Bakery you see today in 2026.

Jeff also took great pride in teaching the next generation of bakers. He passed down his knowledge, techniques, and love for baking to his son, Jeffery John (JJ), and his nephew, Robert Acerno. Both JJ, who today is a proud co-owner, and Robert continue to work at Front Street Bakery today, carrying on the craft that Jeff taught them.

The siblings loved working together, and they did just that for more than 25 years — right up until 2025.

In June 2025, we unfortunately lost Jeff to cancer. There isn’t a day at the bakery that doesn’t remind us of him, and Front Street simply hasn’t been the same without him. His dedication, passion, and commitment to the bakery are a part of its story forever.

Today, we continue to carry Jeff’s legacy forward — through his son, his nephew, his sister, his wife, and everyone who has had the privilege of learning from and working alongside him. We honor everything he built, everything he taught us, and the family traditions that started long before 2000.

From our family to yours, thank you for continuing to support Front Street Bakery and allowing us to keep this family legacy alive. ❤️
