Friday started out with me making a run down the hill for the Halloween weekend but first stopping over at @the_bearded_dreaded_wonder house for the evening and watching some scary movies before hitting the salt River early next morning.

We arrived and only on other person was there so plenty of room to fish for these beautiful native suckers.

Got into about a dozen between the both of us with MANY missed opportunities simply because the strokes are so very subtle.

Can't wait to get back out there again sometime soon!

The coming of my age, has been a long, hard practice in learning to let birds fly. by @frothy.flies

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what the hell a win feels or looks like anymore...

I'm simply trying to get by and through the next day that comes my way without losing hope again.

Honestly though...if I'm the asshole in your eyes, you probably deserved it.

Found a good one today after about 6 other 8/10 inch hens.

It was a grind today with water levels still a bit too high from this past week of weather activities.

Another favorite of mine that really works well out here in the white mountains of eastern Arizona.

One of my favorite nymph patterns to tie up especially in this colorway.

Might be throwing some dry flies for our native Apaches this Saturday with a new friend.

What better excuse to tie some more of these things I twist up.

It's a hybrid of a few patterns with the CDC halo that I've adapted from @the_feather_mechanic

Superb idea and one that does a perfect imitation of the legs on the surface.

Truth be told, ducks and coyotes do not get along...at all, ever.

I have been told it's best to keep them separated.

Unfortunately last week, that didn't happen.

A couple ducks were lost due to an ambitious and determined coyote or two..

Couldn't do much besides harvest some feathers and put reinforcement up on the coop and keep a more vigil eye out on the rest of the flock.

I may not show it, but it's a process to get through every single day for this guy here.

I'm so very grateful for my friends, family and loved ones that continue to have my back when I'm pushed into a corner on the daily.

It gets difficult attempting to navigate a world in which you don't feel you have a map for.

So I try and make my own way, find my own path, and trailblaze myself into the unknown that is life.

Stay grateful for each and every day you have to experience life, for it is far shorter than we could ever imagine it to be.
