Front page of @nytimes !? What an incredible achievement—I never imagined this would ever happen. A huge thank you to The New York Times for believing in our film and selecting it for Op-Docs. I’m beyond proud of our amazing team, thank you for being part of this journey and helping me bring this film to life—it truly means the world. To everyone who’s reached out with private messages, thank you so much for taking the time to not only watch the film but also connect with us. “Globally, it is estimated that up to 1 billion children aged 2–17 years have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional violence or neglect in the past year” (WHO). This film gives a voice to those stories, and I’m honored to help bring awareness to this crucial issue. Next up for the film is @sffilm and @asffestival ! While I won’t be able to make it to San Francisco as I’m on tour with my feature film @fuckingsbygda , I can’t wait to see you all at Aesthetica Film Festival in England this November. What a summer! ☀️ I was lucky enough to spend two whole weeks watching legends at work on Only Murders in the Building, seeing Norway kick ass at the World Cup, shooting a pilot in Denmark, dancing my way through some amazing music festivals, screening films at @riocinema and @thegardencinema hanging out with friends, moving into my new flat in London and somehow squeezing in trips to France and Sweden too by @froydisfm

What an incredible couple of months it’s been🤍 Just 15 minutes after graduating from the @nftsfilmtv I received development funding from the @norskfilminstitutt to write my own TV series. I was also honoured to receive the Norwegian Government’s Artist Grant and I’ve just signed with @itg_ltd It’s also been a season full of screenings. Me to You screened at @riocinema in collaboration with @ansalondon and at @minimalensff . My documentary screened at @thegardencinema with @wftv_uk , my graduation film premiered at BFI Southbank and I had the joy of presenting a retrospective of four of my films at @vegascene in collaboration with @filmhelten Along the way, I somehow also got to play football at Old Trafford, co-host @amandusfestivalen with some wonderful people and serve as a jury member at both @kortfilmfestivalen and the Gullruten Awards. I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend these past months surrounded by inspiring, hardworking directors, crew members and brilliant actors. None of this happens alone and I’m so grateful for everyone who’s been part of the journey. Next stop: continuing work on my feature film Becoming with the wonderful producer @eleonore_anselme and heading to Copenhagen in August to co-direct a hybrid documentary feature. 📷 @moahmadsen @jasminwiik @kato_boels @lenlap by @froydisfm
