POSTS STORIES REELS

An overdue share of my Voyage LA article from last year. If you’re curious about the story behind @fruitstand.art, you can read all about it here :)

Accompanying the article is my favorite song from @keetiebee, a song of reflection, joy & hope that got me through late 2024! by @fruitstand.art

Introducing figgy, a *very* limited edition candle made in collaboration with RJ Ines (@rjines), an LA-based artist photographer and perfumer.

Our exclusive scent balances fresh, floral notes of fig, bergamot and geranium with the subtle ‘zing’ of black pepper using the highest quality, premium fragrance oils. Burns smoothly in a coconut paraffin wax blend. Each candle is handmade with love by us.

Yesterday was quite frankly, a perfect Sunday. Thank you @marvistafarmersmarket @marvista_green for having me for a live painting sesh in the best spot of the market! 💚

I got to do what I love most: paint lots of stunning in-season produce and be in community. I especially loved meeting all the little ones coming up to the tent, asking questions and volunteering to take bites of pears and plums for the painting. You all gave it that authentic quality, ha! For those that expressed interest in taking painting classes with me — stay tuned🎨

Thank you to these farms for the gorgeous produce:

@arnettfarms Asian pears, plums, bergamot and a monstrous grapefruit🍊🍋🍐

@rodriguezfarms peppers, squash, lettuces and shiny shallots 🧅🫑

@weiserfamilyfarms lavender beets and carrots 🥕🫜

And a big big thanks to Jeanne (pictured & my painting partner), Diana and Kate for the opportunity.

P.S. The painting is SOLD👩‍⚖️ Follow for more paintings and DM me for select commissions.

Join us this Sunday, October 25, at the Mar Vista Farmers’ Market for a special live painting experience with Emma Peters of Fruit Stand Art! 🍅🍋🍎

Hosted by the Mar Vista Green Tent, Emma of @fruitstandart will paint a still life featuring in-season produce from the market’s wonderful vendors, celebrating the beauty of eating seasonally and the importance of supporting local farmers and the abundance growing around us.

Small choices make a difference. Shopping what’s in season supports local agriculture, connects us to the rhythms of nature and helps us appreciate the many hands that grow our food 🌱

Squash, pomegranates, pumpkins, oranges, persimmons and more. So so happy it’s autumn🍁 by @fruitstand.art

Still beaming after live painting earlier this month at @foodforward’s Tomorrow’s Table gala!

I started the painting at 2:30pm and completed it by 8:30pm, just in time for the live auction, where I spoke in front of 250+ people!😅

Proceeds from the painting and other auction items directly fund more surplus food recovery around the county (think: individual trees, the Huntington orange groves, leftovers from farmers’ markets etc) and distribute to those in need.

Many thanks to @nanhsu, @jessiebrucee, Robin and the entire Food Forward team for the opportunity.

Thank you Michael for generously purchasing the painting.

One week ago, we gathered for Tomorrow’s Table, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and made the night possible. Your support helps us recover surplus produce and deliver it to communities experiencing food insecurity, and the evening was a testament to what our community can do when we come together.

We are so grateful to celebrate our honorees, @alicelouisewaters and Emily Parker, whose years of work have helped advance our food systems. A special thank you to our host Greg Garcia, Farmer Chair @alejandroweiser of @weiserfamilyfarms, and all of the wonderful chefs, in-kind partners, and sponsors who brought their craft, services, and generosity to the night.

Swipe to see just how expansive this hunger-fighting community is. ➡️

Had the privilege of painting live again yesterday, this time at @foodforward’s Tomorrow’s Table fall benefit gala. This took a little over 5 hours to complete — from fruit setup → underpainting → layering colors → details & highlights → signature.

More to come soon, but wanted to show the final product after a magical evening!🎨🪄 by @fruitstand.art

Take a quick tour of the fall displays at @latropicanamarket in HLP! Featuring fruit prints from @fruitstand.art 🥭

I’m OVERJOYED to announce my art is now sold at @latropicanamarket in Highland Park, Los Angeles. 🍁 It’s truly a pinch-me moment to show my work at such an inspirational grocery store — woman-owned, independent and hyper-local to support the needs of the community. Plus, it’s a few blocks from my house!

As some of you know, I’m very interested in the grocery world and am thankful to experience a small taste of the business side.

Many thanks to Rana and her team for the support and deep dive into barcodes (Code 128, GPC… I’m learning retail lingo).

As we transition into the cozy fall season, I hope you’ll stroll through the autumnal displays and grab a bottle of rosé, mini pecan pie, @burritoslapalma snack and a seasonal print that speaks to you🏡 by @fruitstand.art
