When I heard the diagnosis back in January 25' it broke me. Seeing your hero, the person you aspired and worked so hard to be, slowly lose the first battle they would ever lose, right in front of your eyes... its a different kind of pain. I wish that I was in a clearer mind back then instead of contstantly being in survival mode, and I wish I had it in me to be there, but I knew you understood. You deserved better from me after the countless years of taking care of me, guiding me, and teaching me how to be a Corbin and I'm sorry that I couldnt be there for you in that moment.

When we lost you back in February it shattered me, and it still doesn't feel real to this day. You were the one person I could come to with anything, and you always made me smile no matter how upset or hurt I was. Your selflessness, your heart, your honesty, and your caring nature shaped me into who I am today.

While today was my version of a last goodbye, ill still always carry you with me. I know you'd want me to keep going, even though I gave up when you passed. I know you're the reason as to why im still here even after attempting, and as angry as I was at the time, thank you for keeping me here. I may not have been able to be the Corbin you saw in me back then, but I will be going forward.

I will always love you, and im glad that we got to share one last smoke together. While the road ahead is hard, I promise you this; I'll always remember your scowled face, warm hug, and the words, "Matthew Scott Corbin, you dont give up, you get better."

I hope that you're proud of me 🖤

Rest in peace Grandma Corbin 09/47-02/26

Built V8. Old school charm. 🖤

Stopped on the way home for @monsterenergy and @fs.merc really leaned across the whole car just to open my door. It’s the little things that are actually the big things 😘
