The best creative journeys are rarely linear.Eldine Syifa @eldine__ , an alumna of Undergraduate Program in Craft, Faculty of Art and Design, ITB @kriya.itb @iasritb @itb1920 began her path with a bold decision. Although she studied Textile Craft, her final project led her to explore metal, a cross-disciplinary leap that would shape the direction of her creative practice.At ITB, she discovered that craftmanship is never just about the final result. It is about discipline, preparation, consistency, curiousity, and respect for every tool, every material, and every step of the creative process. That passion eventually led her built Lievik Atelier @lievik.atelier with her partner in 2023, a studio that brings together blacksmithing, metalsmithing, and silversmithing while welcoming people from all backgrounds to discover the craft through hands-on workshop. She started it small, armed with a small table at home and shared tools with her father and it's immersed her gradually in the world of metal, experimenting with copper, brass, and steel. Today, Eldine's work has reached audiences beyond Indonesia, with exhibitions in Singapore and recognition through Good Design Indonesia. Academic and Research Visit to the Royal College of Art London, United Kingdom | 6–7 July 2026.A delegation from the Faculty of Art and Design, Institut Teknologi Bandung (FSRD ITB), accompanied by Prof. Ir. Agus Mochamad Ramdhan, Ph.D., Education and Cultural Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in London, conducted an academic and research visit to the Royal College of Art (RCA), UK, ranked No. 1 globally for Art & Design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Christoph Lindner, President and Vice-Chancellor of the RCA, and Professor Graeme Brooker, Head of Programme, MA Interior Design.The visit focused on exploring opportunities for future collaboration in research, academic exchange, and institutional partnership between FSRD ITB and RCA.
