#meetexecmonday with our VP of Membership Experience, Meg Reyes!

Hear what Meg’s position means to her:

“I’m so lucky to be able to have this position for a second term. Coming into the chapter, I hadn’t planned to do anything on leadership. I really thought that it was going to be too much for me to handle. Before my first term, the person who would later become our president really pushed me out of my comfort zone and urged me to run for this position. Honestly, I told her she was crazy and that I absolutely wasn’t going to even consider running. The next day I found myself planning bid days and sisterhood events. When I eventually stepped into the role, I was terrified that I was out of my depth and that I was going to do a terrible job. Since becoming VPME, I’ve grown into a much more confident person and I owe a lot of that to this role. Throughout the past two years I’ve been able to lean on my team and advisors who I know are always there to support me. I’ve had the opportunity to welcome and lead 4 separate member classes and watch them grow into the amazing women they are today. I’ve had the opportunity to watch as 4 separate groups of seniors transition from their collegiate years to their alumni years. Watching my sisters grow and thrive in this chapter has been the greatest privilege of my life and I am forever grateful that I was pushed out of my comfort zone over two years ago now. I’d choose this role in every lifetime and am so excited to take everything that this position has taught me into my life outside of AOII and FSU.”
