TRIBUTE TO OUR FATHER, MAI MARTABA, SARKIN GUMEL. Today, I struggle to find the right words to describe the pain in my heart. A pain I have never felt. You were the emir to everyone, but to me, you were more than that. I call you my father, because that’s actually what you were to me. You carried the responsibility of fatherhood not only for me, but to everyone who looked up to you. You were a man of peace. You lived peacefully with your people, treated everyone with kindness. One of the greatest honours of my life was receiving the title of Wakilin Arewan Gumel from you. Five years ago, a month like this, you turbaned and entrusted me with a title that had belonged to my late grandfather. At the time, a lot of people felt I was too young. They questioned my capability. But you saw something different. You saw me through the eyes of love. You told me, in your own way, that you did it because of how obedient I am and you also wanted to preserve legacy. I will carry that moment with me for the rest of my life. Today, we have lost an Emir, but I have lost a father💔 Allah Ya Jikan Mai Martaba Sarki. Allah Ya Saka Masa da Aljannatul Firdaus 🤍 by @ftabiu
