Let's go November birthdays! Happy Birthday and congrats on being born early enough that your bday presents don't get mixed with Christmas presents 🎁 by @ftfgastonia

What a great night building strength, confidence, and connection 🥰

The Great Parent Swap is a chance for our youth students to bring their adult on the mat and coach them!

Impact Jr (ages 4-7) helped their parents learn how to safely move to the ground, get back up, and play “flip the turtle”! 🐢

Impact (ages 8-12) gets a turn in class on Thursday!

If you have a student in the Impact program, check out our facebook group “FTF® Gastonia Impact Parents” for more pics!

I know I know…”it’s too early” but it’s really not!

Fit to Fight® has teamed up with the Gastonia Boys and Girls Club to bring Christmas to kids in our community who otherwise may not have anything to open this year.

Self-defense, Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, fitness and absolutely no guarantee that our marketing team knows what it’s doing.

One mat. A lot of different people.

Different ages. Different backgrounds. Men and women. Different experience levels.

All training together.

That’s one of the things we love about Jiu Jitsu. You don’t have to look a certain way, be a certain age, or already know what you’re doing to start.

You just have to be willing to learn, work with the person in front of you, and keep showing up.

Interested in trying it? Come see what class feels like and start with a trial pack. No commitment, no contract, just a chance to learn and grow.

A lot of the people who train with us have regular jobs. They’re parents. Teachers. Business owners. Nurses. Accountants. Law enforcement officers. People who need their bodies to work tomorrow.

They’re not trying to become professional fighters.

They want to get stronger. More capable. Harder to overwhelm. They want to know what happens when someone grabs them, hits them, tackles them, or refuses to let go.

And they want to learn those things without showing up to work the next morning with two black eyes and their nose in a different place.

That doesn’t mean our training is easy.
It means the difficulty has a purpose.
We want you to experience resistance. We want you to solve problems against people who don’t simply cooperate. We want you to get tired, uncomfortable and challenged.

We also want you to be able to train consistently enough to actually get good at it.
Because for most people, the goal isn’t to become a fighter.
It’s to become more capable.
And then go to work tomorrow.

If that’s what you’re looking for, these are the mats for you.

Our self defense focused jiu jitsu classes focus on sweeps, escapes, and submissions the prioritize ending the fight or opening up space to run.

There are plenty of BJJ schools focused on competition. We want to bring Jiu jitsu to those who want to learn a new skill,l that can keep them safe, and go to work the next day in one piece.

For the hobbyists, the self defense focused, and law enforcement.
