This is not Mongolia, it’s still China! 🇨🇳

That’s what I had to keep telling people when I posted from Inner Mongolia! This place made me feel like I was stepping into a travel documentary!!

Think rolling grasslands, golden deserts, and a culture that’s completely unlike anything I’d seen in China before.

🗓️ May - Sept are the best months to travel to Inner Mongolia! There’s the eastern and western part to explore, but I chose the West this time!

If you’re planning a unique summer escape, here’s what you can actually do there:

⭐️I was here on a private tour and had the BEST time! I got to do so many cool things like:

🛖💤 Sleep in a traditional Yurt
🌱 🐎 Ride a horse on the Grasslands
🏜️🐪 Do a photoshoot in the Desert with Camels
🐑 Eat quality lamb
☕️ Drink sour milk tea 酸牛奶
📝 Museum & Monument visits (Genghis Khan) to learn more about the history of Inner Mongolia

This is Xishuangbanna in China 🇨🇳! I’VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO TRAVELLING TO CHINA FROM LAOS BY LAND! 🇱🇦➡️🇨🇳✨🚝 the view is amazing and my one-way ticket to xishuangbanna from luang prabang was like $40!
