We used to discover ourselves.. now we’re packaged.“ON SALE!”.Individuality was this slow Argentinian tango, the memories of the past meet the dreams of your future...A quiet almost accidental byproduct of being present in your truth. mismatched interests, strange habits, unpopular opinions and the most genuine parts of yourselves becoming this freestyle dance— not choreography practiced then performed.Uniqueness became a commodity the moment we became purchasable.Don’t get me wrong, I love this app but for those who were around when it launched, Yoh, peak, it was so pure..Like bring back tumblr vibes fam.Identity became content and our authenticity entangled with our audience.All curated from the same trend cycles and algorithms.Somewhere along the way, you lost YOU.The kid with limited source-material or references.Our obsession with “being given flowers” led us to forget we’re meant to grow our own...Don’t mind me..This isn’t really meant to be “feed content”, I’m just taking a second to admire the wings on my own back and reminding you of the ones on yours 🫂 by @fueg.oh
