In my small town, we were introduced to cultivation at a young age.

It's not as simple as someone might think. This process takes a lot of investment, time management, science, discipline, and hard work.

The beauty of being up before the sun and being with the girls on those early mornings was one of my favorite parts of the day.

I'd play them romantic Spanish guitar music, and I'd watch them sway back and forth while the winds began to swift.

Maybe one day I'll have a garden again.

This was the first time I had light painted with someone outside of a studio. I used a large maglight, which made it a bit difficult to keep my lines straight, but it gave it a bit of character. I didn't realize that this would open up a whole chapter of photos that I created using light painting.

Drought seasons in the north used to get the water levels in our lakes and rivers very low. The layers of each body of water would begin to show, and the county would send our a water restriction that stated the new regulation of how much water was to be used during the season. Something about the drought always brought a more of a desire, the rains to come. It was a waiting game.

Growing up in northern California reveals something very quickly about you. You either love or hate the outdoors.

Thankfully, my friends and I loved exploring, and we would walk miles into these forests.

I will always have love for these areas, and although I live in the city now, it doesn't change how I feel about the place where I grew up and the things it has taught me. by @fuez_photo

DIY Wall Ride in the Bike Trail Tunnel: 2013

There was a time when the OGs were creating and building spots all over our town. The spots would sadly get destroyed by the county workers but it brought more of our locals together to shred these gems and share good memories.

I never imagined my mother getting remarried. I didn't think I would have the chance to walk her down the aisle and hand her off to another man. It was an honor to be there for her and see the light in her eyes throughout her day. I'll always have her back no matter what she decides to do. Also, my first nephew was still a toddler in the next photo, and it's crazy to see him now as a 12 year old and in middle school. Life can move quickly sometimes.

I was sixteen when I first had the opportunity to go to Oahu with one of my good friends at the time. We were mainly there to celebrate his sister's birthday but we also had plans to explore as much as we could on our own. We got to meet some people from different areas and backgrounds. The most beautiful greeting of them all was when we ran into a great young man whose name was Barry. He was a local that we met one late night at the beach. Barry had a very peaceful spirit, and he carried lots of wisdom although he was only five years older than us at the time. He not only showed us around the island and introduced us to many acquaintances, but he brought us to his families home, who welcomed us with open arms and treated us like one of their own. They spread lots of words of wisdom and made us feel at home. I will never forget Barry or his family. He made the experience that much more memorable and brought lots of light on this trip. The island is a special place, and i hope to revisit one day.
