My 2025 wrapped is a bit late but better that than never. Started the year with finishing off my Mizzoni jumper and moving into adding more classic pieces into my wardrobe while trying to upcycle yarn and using what I already have! Went through a bit of a knitting block before my move to Melbourne so spent the last quarter making cute mini knits for all my friends little ones. Kicking 2026 in a new city with new inspiration and pretty excited to get back on the needles for me 😘 taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @fufuknits_

Styling my newly knitted #timessquarescarf by @susiehaumann. Perfect pop to my “lazy” outfits and drawing attention away from the fact I didn’t have time to iron my jeans haha.

I was trialing leaving the loose ends but after a few days I’m definitely gona weave those babies in!

Yarn used was mostly leftover yarn from previous projects!

That cheap Amazon case served me well when I first started knitting 4 years ago but it was time for my needles to glow up and give them the luxury and space they deserve 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Entering my soft girl era 😘

Pattern: modified @petiteknit #MaggieCardigan — my go-to base for fitted knits from now on. Worked the cardigan on 5mm needles instead of 3.5mm
Yarn: repurposed @mohairpossumstore mohair in Bluff 🤍
Brushed it out to bring out that full fluffy texture — obsessed with how it turned out! by @fufuknits_

Another upcycling project in the mix. The blue mohair hair was from another beanie that wasn’t getting finished while the orange mohair was from a wrap scarf that I haven’t worn much as it’s too warm where I live!

A lot of prep went into making the cakes again but knitting this top has been a breeze. I wanted to make a fitted tee as I have so many jumpers already and loving how it’s turningggg out 🎉 by @fufuknits_

So, the recession has hit hard, and gone are the days when I could drop $$$$$ on yarn on a whim. I decided to challenge myself and try repurposing knits and WIPs that I know I’m either not going to wear or finish, starting with this mohair blanket that’s been sitting in my WIP basket for two years. Honestly, the process of revitalising the yarn took longer than actually knitting the cardigan. Upcycling is hard work, guys. Don’t get it twisted!

On the upside, it cost me nothing, and I ended up with this super luxe cardigan. What do you think—was it worth the process?

They are my fourth pair but I still managed to black out for 48 hours and wake up with a fresh knit and a fresh fit. Worth it because It killed at the festival 🎉🎉🎉
