Look into people’s eyes and you’ll see decades of deprivation, unfulfilled dreams and uphill struggle. Every wrinkle on their faces tells a story, of resilience, faith and unshaken resolve. Life is hard but harder for some of us..

It’s just a matter of time when your beautiful spotless skin will start to sag, and your eyes will develop a white ring around the cornea, your muscles will weaken and your energy will decline slowly. The body will show signs of ageing. But the soul and its inner beauty will still shine through your smile. Your clean heart will give a special radiance to your face no matter how old you are. The health of your soul and the beauty of a clean heart cannot be bought at stores. It’s about finding the light of God and connecting to His clan of humans with compassion, empathy and love. That is real beauty and it doesn’t sag, decline or wear off. That light is for life and stays behind in hearts of those you were kind to, even after you leave this world - AA

People pleasing is exhausting.
Expectations can be lethal.
Bickering is pointless;

Silence is beautiful.
Pauses are empowering.
Solitude is a bliss.
And
the quicker this awakening comes, the better.

The bewildered gaze, a free bird and a broken lamppost!

Every little thing in this picture is symbolic of life.

We traverse through different stages and transform into a new self at every stage of life. None of the stages of this transformation is permanent - these stages do pass; but we never get back to our previous versions - the energetic version, the carefree happy version!

No one tells you that ‘this too shall pass’ comes with a price every time it ‘passes’. It brings about a new version of you - new scars with a toll of your physical, mental and emotional energy taken away, every time you go through a new storm. The new you may be more aware than before, more mature and more ready to face new challenges, but more tired, more vulnerable and weaker on the toes as well as on the nerves than ever before.

The toll gets heavier not because of its weight but because of the number of times you’ve been under it!
So you may celebrate you’re out of a storm and you survived but it would never be the same again - you would never be the same again..

The only permanent thing in this life is ‘change’.
