Well 2024 was one for the f*** it bucket. In the best words I can put it….. it sucked. So many souls that were so loved were lost. So many future dreams and plans were ripped away. I never knew that my family and I could be kicked so bad when we were already down. But if this year taught me anything is that you can find the light in the dark,even if it is with a flashlight. I am a firm believer in it’s just a bad chapter, it is not a bad book. Also god does not give you anything you can not handle…..but damn he must think I am really tough.

I look forward to a new year with new opportunities and new possibilities.

To the souls we have to leave in 2024…. Grandma Terry, Susan, Ace, Jonas, Momma, Misty, Cupcake, William, GP, and our baby. You will be missed and we will think of you often and love you always. by @full_deck_equine

I just thought I would get on here because everyone is curious as to what happened to Ryan and I’s babies.

Ace “Midnight N Vegas”
He was born with internal pigeon fever. There was no signs of that. Until we had to put his momma down a week later. Once he was born she started to get boils all over her body not presenting as pigeon fever. There was none on her chest or her stomach. But it was quite literally everywhere else, I could not save her and she didn’t deserve to live like that.

Jonas “What A Man Gotta Do”
Jonas was a happy healthy foal until he wasn’t. It all happened in a matter of hours, until we had to put him down. Jonas’s went in for surgery and when they opened him up his cecum was dead. They have no idea why or how. It could have been a handful of things.

With both of the boys all the vets that saw there cases or Kristina reached out to said they had never seen anything like it. When Alamo opened Jonas and discovered his cecum he said he had never seen it in a foal before.

I want to thank Creston Large Animal Veterinary Services, Inc Kris thank you for never ceasing to amaze me with all of the knowledge and care you have for our animals. You are the reason I got to love our boys for as long as I did so thank you. Kris’s girls (techs) thank you for hugging me when ever I needed one and helping my boys.

I also want to thank Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center when we pulled up with Jonas he felt like a celebrity. We got everyone and you guys tried as hard as you could and I can not thank you enough. Dr. Lopez thank you for pushing that he needed to go for surgery. Dr Hamer thank you for finding the answer to why he was not getting better. Thank you all for allowing him to leave in peace and not in pain.

Although the hurt is catastrophic I was allowed to love two very special boys. Rest in peace my loves❤️ by @full_deck_equine
