During a Master Class with Steven Smith, we were challenged to design the future of running. This is, Nike Shearforce:

RACERS OFTEN FIND THEMSELVES TAKING SHARP TURNS ON SLICK PAVEMENT. THICK FOAM OUTSOLES PRIORITIZING FORWARD MOTION DOMINATE THE MARKET. THIS SHOE WILL BE BUILT FOR SHARP TURNS WITHOUT SACRIFICING AERODYNAMICS AND SPEED. NEVER CHOOSE BETWEEN SPEED AND STABILITY AGAIN. by @fuller_arts

Nike Deadstep
The Grateful Dead were a rock and roll band that rose to fame along with the rise of counterculture and anti-establishment. They godfathered “Jam Bands” and keep their fan base excited by mashing up their songs and weaving them into each other. Grounding the footwear in this band taps into a diverse community of expressive individuals. Functionally, the shoes are designed for free movement, comfort, and dance. Additionally, the Grateful Dead has a rich archive of artwork and artisans who follow the band around and exchange goods on “Shakedown Street” offering potential for product activations. by @fuller_arts

Life Line is a modern mountaineering boot engineered for extreme adaptability. Its experimental silhouette features an adjustable BiPhase Traverse Plate, allowing traction to shift seamlessly between slick ice and deep snow. Combining sculptural design with technical precision, Lifeline pushes the boundaries of outdoor footwear through innovation, modularity, and resilience. by @fuller_arts

Plastic Contortion

My submission to the @litefootcompany Sustainable Design Competition! This was a fun change of pace from footwear design- thinking about a waste stream, a creating a new material, and teaching myself how to make an article of clothing all in just 2 days!

This week I had the opportunity to design under the guidance of industry legends Tate Kuerbis and Wilson Smith. We were briefed with designing a tennis shoe for a muse, focusing on an exciting new angle we could bring to the sport. I chose to hone in on the growing conversation around mental health and a holistic approach to wellness within tennis and the broader sports performance industry.
I’m excited to share my design after a four day sprint! I feel this project is a stepping stone into a much larger conversation and space I’m excited to keep exploring. by @fuller_arts
