Conductor is out now for £69.

Our hope was to create a simple Ableton Live setlist management solution which was accessible to all.

There’s a great weight of expectation on live performances these days: artists playing their first shows are expected to deliver polished productions straight out of the gates. Our hope was to create a simple device which would help with show creation at all levels.

Grab a copy of the Conductor User Guide from our store to see if it’s the right fit for you - link in bio.

A huge thank you goes out to the early testers of Conductor, who provided feedback and helped shape it. Special thanks to @martinlroberts, @manglebird, @petedbass, @nathanncox, @charliesingleton, and, of course, our very own @frasermaccoll. by @fullfat.co

We’ve had the pleasure of putting together quite a few of these PA1U-MIDI carry-on systems of late.

⁣
⁣
Whether you’re already using @iconnectivity_interfaces or would like us to provide, we’d be happy to help get your rig ready for festival season.⁣
⁣
We have pre-built systems on the shelf ready to be shipped at the drop of a hat - just DM or email us if you’re interested!⁣

We were incredibly proud to play our part in overseeing the Ableton build, programming and playback duties as @realblackcoffee made history at two phenomenal shows this month. There were a few very late nights getting these productions ready, but it really paid off!

The first, at Arènes de Nîmes, broke box office records for the 2000 year old Roman arena, and was a really magical setting for the 2hr DJ set, complete with orchestra and guest vocalists.

The second was a sold out show at @theo2london - a 3hr DJ set accompanied by an orchestra, additional musicians and 20+ special guests including @aliciakeys

A huge thank you to:

PM / MVP: @_jamesdutton & @candicewachel of @highscream - for having us and leading the entire production & team.

Hello socials, my old friend. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This year has been an absolute life-deleter so far: haven't been doing too many builds because of touring commitments. But, keeps the house from being repossessed so that's nice.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
One of the builds I have completed in the short amount I've been home was this big boy for Florence & The Machine. A two-parter: onstage we have two MIDI-SAT boxes, and a dual Roland TM6 rack with MioXL, and then offstage we have the playback and keys racks, which I'll share soon. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These have been fun to put together - the TM6 rack has a sexy bespoke plywood drawer with CNC machined holes to screw the TM6 directly to the shelf. I needed something with a specific depth to make rear cabling access as easy as possible, and this was the nicest solution I could come up with!⁣⁣
⁣
I'll be working on getting some more off-the-shelf builds ready to keep wait times down over the next couple of weeks: if you're in the market for something ahead of festival season, please do reach out so I can get you boxed off first.⁣

We spent the last 7 days deep in programming & rehearsals with @palewaves ahead of their huge support tour with @louist91.

Their U-track system had definitely seen better days… so we jumped in, upgraded them to a PA1U-TUNE, and rebuilt the entire show in Ableton from the ground up.

No more endless cigarette / tea beaks while tweaks get made, tracks get re-bounced and files get re-uploaded 🫣.

The touring schedule has been pretty intense so far in 2026, but I've been squeezing in builds every day I've been home, including this little custom MIDI-SAT box for @raye which includes the addition of a MIDI Solutions Dual Footswitch Controller. Thanks to @aaadrums for the shout!

I've done a few custom variations on the sat box format recently, but naturally not posted about any of them. Why break the habit of a lifetime?

Currently lining up more builds for May - please get in touch if we can help! chris@fullfat.co by @fullfat.co

When I started out running Ableton in my band, playback training resources did not exist. I learnt through making some harrowing mistakes and figuring out how to solve them in real time. Want to know what happens when you remap a launchpad for your song markers to the same MIDI channel as your keyboard player's main board before going on stage at a festival in front of thousands of people? I can tell you - it's less than ideal.
⁣⁣
If I had the opportunity back then to learn from someone who was willing to share their experience, I would have jumped at the opportunity. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
All round legend @nickhuffproductions has just released his course doing just that, and we're thrilled that he's included our Conductor show control device in his setlist manager shootout. ⁣Today is the last day you can jump on the course at the introductory price, so jump over to the link in his bio to find out more!⁣
⁣⁣
He's also been providing some feedback for the development of Conductor 2 behind the scenes, so fingers crossed this isn't the last time you'll see Nick on our feed 🤫 by @fullfat.co

Happy Mother's Day.⁣
⁣
Your Mum was just reminding me that we haven't posted in a while, so here's something we did back in October as part of a larger update to the WFB rental stock: again, employing the Oakboard Mini drawer that we've done so many of, but this time in a larger 4U format/Pelican 1637 Air. ⁣
⁣
I thought it might be nice to show the process a little here, so we've got both the renders we supplied to William during the design/quotation process, and then the final delivered product. Sort of Instagram versus reality, but hopefully not in a bad way.⁣
⁣
The build diary ahead of festival season is starting to look pretty slammed already, so if you'd like for us to put anything together for you, please don't leave it too late! ⁣
⁣
I'll be working to get together some PA1U-MIDI and PA1U-TWIN builds in stock to help with quick turnarounds over the next week or so. ⁣

Continuing to smash it online over here. Haven't updated the website for a year. Forgot to even do the obligatory 2025 round-up post. Top marks.

However, we are alive and well, and working hard on bringing some actual tangible updates to our online presence this year. I promise.

As an early valentines, please feast your eyes upon this project we had the pleasure of putting together for @danielmarkavery back in October of last year - special thanks to MD @willlister for reaching out to get us involved!

Dual-PA1U (pre-2U) build for 24 channels of redundant playback, with our bespoke @oaktoneofficial Oakboard Mini 2 drawer for easy playback control. A whole tonne of USB-C PD cabling for GaN power distribution on the board - a lot of fun was had with this one. All pre-configured and shipped ready to rock for the Tremor tour.

I'd love to do more bits like this, so if you've got something in mind please reach out! chris@fullfat.co by @fullfat.co

They say never work with children or animals…. But when @paddingtonthemusical calls, this old adage goes out the window!

We recently provided a string quartet for a very special midnight performance at Paddington Station with @tomfletcher, now available on YouTube.

Before Full Fat, I was a professional bass player. ⁣
⁣
I'd like to caveat this in saying I mean "professional" in that I earned money by playing bass in a band: beyond that there was no professionalism. ⁣
⁣
I started on this path because I wanted to play drums, but the house I grew up in was too small for a drum kit, and then a guy working in my local music shop told me my hands were too small to play bass. So, I set out on a multi-year journey to prove a man whose name I don't even know, and who I never saw again, wrong.⁣
⁣
Luckily, things have come full circle, and having small hands is finally working in my favour: this is the most amount of things I have ever fit inside a 2U shallow-format rack. I felt a bit like I was playing the playback version of "Operation" - but I'm quite pleased with the end result: our PA1U-OAKTONE build, but extended with Cat6A AES72 audio outputs, linked XLR inputs for channels 15/16, and a MIDI Solutions Thru V2 to provide additional DIN outputs on the panel.
