Children don’t owe adults a live broadcast of their entire existence.

At Bracken House, the grown-ups are discovering that trust sometimes means accepting: “You’ll hear about it when we’re ready.”

My new comedy novel is out now: one apartment building, too many opinions, and secrets that refuse to stay on their own floor.

Neighbours, noise complaints, a dangerously active building group chat, and alliances that can change between the lift and the lobby.

“We All Live Here” is Book One of The Building series—and the perfect place to start.

My new comedy novel is out now—and it asks one important question:

Can you leave work at work when your building group chat has other plans?

In *Please Leave Work at Work*, neighbours, noise complaints, secrets nobody keeps, and floor-by-floor alliances turn apartment living into a full-time occupation.

It’s Book 3 in *The Building* series, but new readers can start with Book 1.

One building. Several floors. Zero chance of minding your own business.

Noise complaints, secrets nobody keeps, and alliances that change depending on which floor you’re standing on. The building group chat is where neighbourly peace goes to become comedy.

A ladder is useful because it helps you reach somewhere.

If you keep climbing after forgetting where you’re going, the ladder has become the destination.

Ask yourself: Is this serving my life—or quietly replacing it? by @fullstackragab

You can be completely right about what should have happened—and still need a plan for what happens next.

The apology may never come. The recognition may never arrive. The person may never change. None of that makes the harm acceptable. It only means your future cannot remain dependent on someone else finally doing what they should have done.

Keep your claim. Keep your truth. But build a life that does not require their permission to continue.

Recognizing manipulation is not the same as being free from it.

You can name the tactic, predict the next move, and explain exactly why it works—then still hesitate when leaving means losing a relationship, an identity, or a future you imagined.

Awareness gives you a map. It does not remove the cost of choosing a new direction.
