🔧 2004 Infiniti G35 — Chasing Down the Tick 🔧

This G35 is still with its original owner after 20+ years, and it came into the shop with a loud ticking noise coming from the engine.

After digging into it, we found the culprit to be a collapsed lifter bucket.

We tore it down, addressed the failed bucket, and took the time to check and make sure all valve clearances were within spec before putting everything back together.

Buttoned it up, fired it up, and… no more tick. 🤌

Nothing beats properly diagnosing a problem and hearing a VQ run the way it’s supposed to again.
