Kia ora queen - Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, we’ve had some really disappointing dress returns, with multiple dresses having to be completely written off due to damage.

Thankfully, these dresses had damage waivers, which is why we offer them as an optional add-on to help protect against unexpected damage. However, it’s still incredibly upsetting to see our garments returned in a condition where they can no longer be rented out.

Behind Fundarentals is a small team, including my beautiful mum, who works so hard to keep everything running. Having to spend hours scraping glue off dresses and trying to repair garments that have been damaged unnecessarily is becoming really frustrating. 🥺

Please, if a dress is too long for you, DO NOT use fashion tape, glue or any adhesive directly on our garments. This can permanently damage the fabric and ruin the dress completely. We understand that everyone is different in height, and we want you to feel confident and comfortable in what you wear, but please wear our dresses as they are provided. If a dress is too long, simply hold it up rather than risking damage.

you’re welcome to use bodi bond and clutch glue only on the chest area

✨ The good news is that we’re working on a solution! Following this issue, we’ll be introducing a petite range and looking at hemming more of our dresses to better accommodate different heights and help prevent these problems in the future.

We also ask that if your dress comes back with excessive mud or dirt, particularly around the hem, please email us as soon as possible so we can address it appropriately.

We absolutely love being able to offer you discounted beautiful designer dresses for your special occasions, and we want to continue growing our collection and bringing you gorgeous new pieces. But we need your help to make that possible! 🤍

Please treat every garment with the same care and respect you would give your own belongings. We truly appreciate every single one of you who looks after our dresses and supports our little business.
