林丰 @fungl 是香港當代著名作曲家，曾任香港管弦樂團藝術策劃總監。他熱愛收藏當代藝術，密切關注新進藝術家。他選擇收藏品的心得有點抽象：眼緣。但他給新手購藏的建議非常實在：「首先要做足研究。看到喜歡的作品先了解一下那位藝術家的其他作品，可能會發現另一幅更喜歡的。好多人覺得買畫收藏，一定要花費很高，但其實只要看得夠多，就會發現很多好的藝術家或作品並不是由畫廊代理，沒有把價格定得很高。唯有多看，才會知道自己真正喜歡甚麼。」 Lam Fung @fungl is a renowned contemporary composer in Hong Kong and formerly served as Director of Artistic Planning at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a passionate collector of contemporary art with a keen interest in emerging artists. His approach to choosing works for his collection might sound abstract — it’s based on instinct or what simply catches his eye. But his advice for new collectors is refreshingly practical, “Do your research first. When you see a work you like, take time to learn more about the artist’s other pieces. You might find something you love even more. Many people think collecting art means spending a lot, but if you look at enough work, you’ll discover great artists and pieces that aren’t gallery‑represented and aren’t priced high.
