Steak Caesar has entered the chat… 🥩There are very few places that consistently get every single dish right, but Blacklock is one of them.The (Steak) Caesar deserves all the attention. Perfectly cooked steak laid over a classic Caesar, finished with generous shavings of parmesan and crisp croutons. Simple, but unbelievably good. The Pig’s Head on Toast is the dish I still think about. Rich, sticky and covered in Blacklock’s famous gravy with pickled chillies cutting through every bite. It’s one of those dishes you order once and end up craving long after you’ve left. The Crayfish Cocktail was the perfect contrast. Fresh, light and refreshing, making it an ideal way to start before all the indulgence that followed. And the cocktails? Every bit as considered as the food. Beautifully balanced, dangerously easy to drink, and the perfect companion to one of London’s best steak dinners. When people ask me what some of my favourite UK stays have been, Seaham Hall is always one of the first places I mention ✨There are luxury hotels, and then there are places that genuinely stay with you long after you’ve checked out.From the iconic double baths in the Ada Lovelace Suite, overlooking the gardens, to one of the most impressive spas we’ve visited, and evenings spent watching the sunset on Seaham Beach just minutes away, every part of our stay felt special.The spa is worth the trip alone. Every space is beautifully designed, from the peaceful indoor walkways and thermal experiences to the outdoor hydrotherapy pool. And the famous vortex outside the hotel has become a bit of a Seaham Hall icon in its own right spa 🧖🏼‍♀️Dinner was every bit as memorable, and after a day spent switching between the spa and the coast, it was exactly what we needed.It’s been a while since we visited, but it’s still one of the first places I recommend whenever someone asks for a luxury UK spa break. Cocktails in the City 🍸 One of my favourite days out in a long time! The vibes here are 10/10. Live music, silent disco, games 🎶 Cocktails flowing, our favourite was the slush from @ronsantiagodecuba - like a dessert & cocktail mixed into one 🤤 We had a really fun time in our margarita cocktail class with @cazcabelmx 🍸- highly recommend this! Had the best birthday weekend at Horwood House 🥂✨The staff couldn’t do enough for us all weekend and made the whole stay feel really special.The food was delicious, the spa was lovely and we were so lucky with the weather that we spent most of the day relaxing in the outdoor spa garden soaking up the sunshine ☀️Our terrace room was gorgeous and having our own little seating area was perfect for a morning coffee and chilling out in the evening.We also had a treatment each which was fab and honestly the whole weekend was just what we needed.
