I was 7 years old and my Dad let me play some albums from his vinyl collection. The album titled "The Dude" is one of my favorite Quincy Jones masterpieces that changed my life and opened up the world of music to me. He is the best producer of all time and his influence into music will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.🕊 by @funkndeep

11.28.23 Yussef Dayes Sold Out US Tour @ Show Box in Seattle, WA

Man, were we funked down on Tuesday! 😎

We have been obsessing over Yussef Dayes since we first discovered him/them via the Joshua Tree Yussef Dayes Experience concert clip posted on YouTube a little over a year ago.

We have probably re-listened go this one 2-3 x per week since 😅

As soon as we saw that they would be in town we snatched up those tickets.

Let me tell y'all, I (Claudia) am NEVER on time for a show but I ensured we were there not to just on time but EARLY for this one lol

Watching all of these guys share their individual talents with us that night in person was such a treat and we even contemplated driving to Portland on Thursday for another round.

If you're at all into jazz, we highly recommend you check them out. I genuinely think they are the best that modern jazz has to offer at the moment 🎷🫶🏽
