July at the @southsidehustle.car meet. Wow, was a busy one! Managed to park eventually some way from the main event. Great variety as always.

Much as I love the Mamba wheels, they are a little porous and running them with tubes resulted in a few punctures over the years. After 5 or so years I decided to change things up a bit.

Bought some excellent JBW CSR steel-look alloys and Falken tyres (thanks @oashworth87). Fitting them turned into a mission. The Clubby remains on drums all round and the tyres at the rear caught on the inner arch and shocks. At the front the tie rod bolt caught the inner lips of the wheels.
.
Solution in the end was post ‘84 drums all round with built in 1” spacers. Happily, able to lose the separate spacers that had to be in there for the Mambas to clear.

I think it’s now sitting great. Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I like it. I especially like the steering feel which is much improved and not hearing rubbing when going around roundabouts!

My Clubby still not back together after its wheel woes, so took the @funkybear_mx5 over to Brooklands Museum for the awesome @coolflo Cruise Night. Usual amazing variety on show but here are the Minis I spotted. Some other favourites in my stories

Wheel fitment woes meant no Clubby today but instead popped to the @southsidehustle.carmeet in @funkybear_mx5. Very glad I did - one of the busiest I have seen with the usual, incredible eclectic mix of big, small, new, old, priceless and good value vehicles.

Another spectacular @southsidehustle.carmeet on an unexpectedly sunny morning.
.
.
An eventful morning starting with someone in a Nissan EV trying to run me off the road - not sure why some people go a bit silly around classic cars.
.
.
Made it there in one piece only to return to the Clubby later to find the NS front tyre completely void of air. Had a spare but my old jack failed. Thanks to the legend of a gentleman who walked back to his house and returned with his jack which worked a treat!
.
.
Leaving the meet, I lost reverse and got stuck on a narrow street with someone coming the other way - another legend jumped over and helped to push me back out of the way. It turned out to be just a loosening of the collet under the ball@of the KAD shifter so quickly fixed.
.
Thanks also to @copacetic_magazine’s very own @denialvibes for the loan of a pump and some moral support.

The car community is bloody awesome.

Another @bicestermotion Scramble under the belt and another top day. A great showing from Minis - always awesome to see them out and about. As usual, as many gems in the car park as inside the show.

Clubby was impeccable - it’s mostly motorways to get there for me, so with a self imposed 60mph limit we just enjoyed watching the world go by.

The 83rd Goodwood Members Meeting was brilliant. Fantastic weather, stunning venue and a huge array of incredible cars. Here’s a small Mini focused selection. Always brilliant to see them mixing it up in races around this fine circuit.
