This boba lounge in the North Shore is a must!
And it has way more than just boba.
DIY ramen bar,
claw machines (even for babies),
private karaoke booths,
a pool table,
and a space that actually feels like a hangout — not a grab-and-go.
The boba surprised me too.
By default, nothing is overly sweet (which I love).
Philippine mango with strawberry popping boba was super bright and refreshing.
Brown sugar boba is usually too sweet for me, but this one was perfectly balanced.
Piña colada was 🔥 — and yes, you can add alcohol.
My favorite
Hot winter melon milk tea with boba… cozy, lightly caramel-like, and always my go-to.
One of my favorite details — the walls are filled with photos from their free photo machine.
Everyone was taking pics, looking for friends, just good community vibes.
They’ve got a lot more planned for the future, so this is definitely a spot to keep on your radar 👀
Follow them now before everyone else catches on.

Funky Boba Lounge has officially opened its doors at 338 Green Bay Road, bringing a fresh new twist to downtown — where bubble tea meets arcade fun.

Think specialty boba drinks (including boba cocktails), a ramen bar, neon-lit claw machines, karaoke booths, and even a free photo wall where guests can leave their mark. It’s quickly becoming a go-to for both after-school hangouts and late-night laughs with friends.

Locally owned and family-run, Funky Boba Lounge is exactly the kind of creative, community-driven spot that makes the North Shore shine.

For those wondering why the Piña Colada is so popular.
It has everything to do with the Rum and nothing to do with my poor knife skills.

It’s that time of year again!
There’s many things you can skip, but Pumpkin Fest is definitely not one of them.
Launching 2 new drinks this weekend. More details to come. 🎃🎃🎃

Boba and liquor? Say less. 🧋🍹

I found Funky Boba Lounge in Highwood, IL and this is definitely more than your average boba shop. I tried the piña colada freeze with peach popping boba, but between the arcade games, karaoke, ramen station and photo booth, the drink was only part of the experience.

Definitely adding this one to the “we need something fun to do” list.
