#gravitymetals remind me of a wonderful two weeks in Montpellier where this group hails and is a very cool place for dance music and clubs the best was once not sure now close to the #palavaslesflots with memories of sleeping in the marshes on the #camargue waking by sunrise exhausted from the excesses of the dance night before, boxes of salt in pretty cardboard adorned my London kitchen for years after because I bought a lifetime supply of it imagining wrongly it is not for sale in the UK, otherwise this is like a visual stream of consciousness as I ponder my day’s cycle route ahead . The house here was built in 1492, it burnt down in significant part in 1982 and has been fully restored and is now listed as a Historic Monument of Historic interest Grade 2, mostly because it is an extremely rare local example of a surviving stand-alone farmhouse in the Kent High Weald and sits on a very high ridge in absolute splendid isolation. The big tree was planted as a tiny tree in 1976 and stands as a testament of love and care and the examples of cloud pruning seen in the clips here (pardon the pun) are considered a triumph even though they always do remind me of clipped poodles, but the effort to create this effect is very considerable. The pretty and beautifully yet silly dog Tilly is entirely untrained and even though one thinks she is actually quite trained to sniff out truffles and indeed she has undertaken various expensive yet pointless appropriate courses to do so , the fruitless expectation that this dog will find bountiful free expensive treasure under random young beech trees or wherever is all a massive delusion and she has never in fact yet found any indeed ever, but I truly love truffles regardless and I live in hope eternal ! Anyway, a glorious day in the #highweald with #cloudpruning and #truffles or indeed without truffles ! And #joy. Finally the music is one of my total favs and obviously it goes without saying that we all watched 🤣the Uruguay Graffitti Awards to see this wonderful track’s nomination and then we had nothing more to report !!! 🤣🤣🤣it was rigged, we were robbed !! by @funpixel

I heard the wonderfully inspiring and intelligent #lilianelijn on the radio this week who I think is one of our greatest and most intellectual artists . Every day for three years as an undergrad at my great university I walked passed one of her most important early (c.1968) #koan kinetic sculptures that was prominently placed on campus at #warwickuniversity and it left a truly lasting impression on us all. But for me as well as her Koan it is also her intelligent light and refraction pieces of the 1960s that have left a greater lasting impression on me and they have inspired and informed the construction of my photo compositional art pieces. I continued my academic studies in Venice and to my joy I had once had the supreme honour to meet Lilian at the Guggenheim foundation there and I recall but she won’t I chatted to her me then a babbling 2O year old about nonsensical youthful ideas that she must have found hysterically naive . So here is my humble and unworthy homage to my muse and guru Lilian Lijn. And I also love the work of #billieeillish heard here in this wonderful and clever backdrop piece. by @funpixel

#donniedarko was a great film from which this music is sourced. My curious orange candle , a ceramicist in town displays her front rooms to the street like an art gallery for her own work as here and others for us all to peer into, my neighbours tomatoes have grand ambitions of freedom, trees in field are a passion and so are clouds and to combine both in one shot is almost too much🤣,old electrical equipment fascinate me, this green lead paint colour bleached and blistered by decades of sun is beyond exquisite, the beach here is a daily dance ever changing and it is also beyond words. #oldelectricalbox #leadpaint. And buried in the images is a specific artwork I dearly want and maybe will soon acquire 🙏 by @funpixel

#crookedcoloursband proves that Australia has had a leading light in #alternativedance not just with this project but many impressive others. On my walk I found Martha the parrot not free nor wild but tethered by a leash to stop it flying off when it ihss been previously attacked by the local highly territorial seagulls apparently. How old is the parrot ? She is 14 years old so her owner told me. Moody manipulated shots of #theroyalmilitarycanal built over a decade by thousands and thousands of Irish labourers here in the early 1800’s as a defence against Napoleon’s feared invasion that never happened . A defence against fear ? Nothing changes and here again the nation will be preparing to defend itself at vast cost against what ? Fear. It was a beautiful day ,hot, sunny, and I was offered prospectively a job as a cycle guide by my friends who run a cycle business here for tourist groups peddling to Dungernesse and Derek Jarman’s garden etc and I am thinking being paid to do what I do anyway where I cycle maybe 20-30 miles every day has to be a dream job, why not ! #ingridmichaelson reminds me of my incredible time in New York where this song was playing constantly everywhere I went and it was also playing on my headphones today when we saw and as glimpsed too in my reel the bizarre #underpants strung mysteriously to bushes that my new acquaintance Charlie and I found together while I was on my cycle ride and he was looking for moles, the blind fury variety. Where I’m living it’s a small world and you eventually meet everyone but I’d never met Charlie before who is from Fiji but I had surprisingly met his sister Teresa who had taught me to say thank you in Fijian which is “Vinaca’ which I only remembered after Charlie left and I thought when ever would I be able to use that world ever again! Unless of course I were to go to Fiji which is possible or of course when I meet them again. But my point is Fijians are rare around these parts !! Happy Tuesday . It was hot and sunny today and the sea as calm and as flat as a mirror, no wind, and perfect. by @funpixel
