Col a Day

And ideas are flowing with the riding, some sort of fitness is happening.
I dug out a note book that someone gave me 20 years ago just before they died. Never felt it was the correct occasion to use it, until now. taken in Les Cabannes, Ariège by @furtherjournal

Wild Fire

The path looks amazing where the wildfire happened last month here in the Ariege. It made me think of what happened over in Canada and the vast scale of it over there.
As I said before, it will happen in 2027

Makes me want to Bivi.
Apparently the season is changing. But it is still hot as...

As you are probably aware, last year's ELEMENTS winner Max Riese, tragically died last week.
Max is a long time friend of FURTHER and has taken part in many editions. His death is a great loss.

I want to honour Max in the ELEMENTS event this year. I am still thinking about it, how and what.

The route we used last year is the bad weather route this year. It is called Max.

If the weather is good this year, we will ride the Super Max.

I took a few days off to reflect and I am back to the Col a day.

And another bike.
I love it actually. @pappyren gave it to me. I think it had been languishing in his shed for 30 years or more.
Its six speed , triple and made from Reynolds 531 Super Tourist.
As a kid I would have laughed my arse off at this bike.
I squeezed some 32mm tires into it the rear triangle. I actually like the feel of them.

Put my @restrap fanny pack ( Bum Bar Bag ) on the very narrow bars. For snacks, phone and general stuff.

Frame fit pump !

second bit of news about ELEMENTS 2026.

A lot of people are still asking if they can ride.
The answer is yes BUT , a big BUT !
If you signup now there is no space at the hostel.
You need to be self-sufficient and NO you cannot park a camper van in the hostel carpark for the weekend.
