I'm sorry....did you say one hour to load in and soundcheck??!

Next time you only have 1-1.5hrs for your band to load in and soundcheck.....please watch this video.

If you want to talk about being between a rock and a hard place.

Client wants a killer band.

Schedule only has a 1.5hr window for the band to load in and set up.

This is something we deal with ALL the time at Fusion Events!

It's less than ideal but here are 2 things that we do to mitigate risk and be efficient as possible:

1. Over communicate with the AV supplier/production partner. Usually you are dealing with a salesperson who passes the info to a PM who passes the info to the A1 and the people loading the trucks. Broken telephone waiting to happen. Push to speak to the people who will be on site on the day of directly and ensure they have reviewed the rider.

2. As a band you should travel with a rig that feeds your own monitors with a split snake out to front of house. Dialing in monitors and bad routing is the thing that kills time the most. Have a rack that you just feed to front of house. Saves an hour at least and there are no surprises and each band member can dial in their own monitor mix from their phone/tablet.

3. Arm yourself with tools like https://stageplotpro.app so there is only one source of truth. Make sure it is properly dated and labeled and signed off on.

As long as events continue to happen, short timelines for planning and things like soundchecks will also continue. And while that continues to happen we'll continue to efficiency hack!

The AI agent that wins will not be the smartest one.

It will be the one that quietly removes annoying little decisions from your week.

That is why @meta @muse caught my attention.

My wife connected it to @hellofresh It can review the weekly menu, choose meals based on what we like, build the cart, then send her a WhatsApp message for approval.

We connected our kids’ schedules too. Soccer, dance, music. All the logistical chaos that turns parents into unpaid air traffic controllers.

Muse from Meta can track it and remind both of us what is happening that day.

This is what useful AI looks like:

✅It remembers context.

✅It notices what changed.

✅It recommends the next action.

✅It asks before doing something consequential.

✅It actually does the work.

Most AI still waits for you to open a chat window and think of the right prompt.

Personal agents change the interface from, “Ask me anything,” to, “I noticed this. Want me to handle it?”

That is a much bigger shift than another slightly smarter chatbot.

And, annoyingly, Meta being late may be an advantage.

They got to watch what everybody else built, keep what worked, avoid what didn’t, and package it inside tools people already use.

I still reserve the right to hate Meta recreationally.

But Muse? I’m impressed.

Stop asking, “What can AI answer?”

Start asking, “What recurring decision can I stop making every week?”

Have you tried Muse...what did you think? If you didn't what would you hand off first?

Your AI has answers. Give it a job.

Research, writing, spreadsheets. All useful. But there’s more you can take off your plate.

In this video, I walk through a few practical starting points: reviewing your website, exploring a rebuild, and connecting your email, calendar, and files so your AI agent has the context to help.

Imagine starting your morning with replies drafted and your meeting prep ready to review.

That’s the kind of help I want as a business owner. More time for clients, creative work, and the projects I keep putting off because the admin gets there first.

Start with one recurring task. Give your agent clear instructions. Review the result. Build from there.

What’s the first thing you’d hand over? by @fusionevents

How much work is AI actually taking off your plate?

If you’re using ChatGPT or Claude for research, writing, or the occasional spreadsheet, you’ve made a start. But there’s a bigger opportunity when you give it a job in your business.

In this video, I walk through a few places to start:

• Audit your website and identify opportunities to improve how customers find you.
• Explore a website rebuild while your current site stays live.
• Connect your email, calendar, and files so your agent can draft replies and help you prepare for the day.

Pick one recurring task. Give your agent the context it needs. Review the result and build from there.

For me, the payoff is having more time for creative work, clients, and the things that move the business forward.

What’s one task you’d happily take off your plate this week?

Follow along for more practical ways to put AI to work.
